We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

that's odd. it seems the same guy bought from their owners the domains NOU.com and ERN.com.
the contents of the websites are too similar to be coincidence.

but the odd and new fact is that both went to NameJet pre-release lists this night but ERN.com only changed its whois during this night.

both are under privacy so that no one can see the new owner. and were transferred to Enom like the current rules mandate for listing private seller domains at NameJet.

so the guy could submit a domain to NameJet before having it, or at least before reflecting the new ownership
in the whois.

that is fast.

more interesting stuff.

at the end of 2010 /beginning of 2011, Yonotan Belousov, from Original Web Ventures (original.com), seems to have bought more than 100 LLL.com from Marchex.

The move by itself is interesting because Marchex doesn't sell cheap but in this case they must have because some dozens were sold on 4.cn at around 5k during 2012, a few others were sold at NameJet in 2012 and 2013 at the same level. Unless we are talking in somekind of brokerage deal but even that is odd because of the average selling price.

The thing gets interesting because *all* domains were moved first to Sherene Blackett of Abstract Holdings International Ltd around 06/2011. The domains were pushed to her(?) account because they stayed on Moniker and the update date wasn't changed at the Registry level.

During 2013 they went somewhat silent but in the last months they have been dumping LLL.com on NameJet at no reserve, month after month.

So, we have a move of a lot of LLL.com domains from an entity that doesn't sells cheap, to a guy that doesn't seem to sell cheap either that by his turn moves all the domains to another obscure entity that then begins to sell them at wholesale prices.

I wonder if we are dealing all with the same entity ?...

Now i noticed that the major LLL www.com changed its whois from a guy named Alex Royf from Diagonal Axis Limited to Sherene Blackett, but now Sherene belongs to Z group Ltd. But the interesting thing is that the address and the phone are the same has the previous owner. Also, the previous owner had the domain at Rebel wich is a registrar from Canada. The DNS were also from Canada. Original Web ventures is also from Canada.

So, another nice detective story to explore in the world of who's who in the domain business.

very curious on who is the buyer of HQB.com and what website will he build. "WILLIAM JACOB WHITE" seems bogus...

another detective story.

the domain MTZ.com was registered for some years with Enom but in 2014 it move to what it seems an enom resseler Binero AB of Sweden. Another odd fact is that the domain had whois privacy provided by Register.com.

anyway, the domain did not pass the Enom expire-take_control-sell_it, probably because it was with a resseler. It does not seem one of those WTF usually made by Network Solutions that let some domains drop without selling them at auction, like the recent cases of GONO.com and PDM.com.

moving on, the domain enter redemption period because the owner, for what i could find out, passed away in 2013. So, the domain was lost, and would drop but magically got recovered. maybe the new owner reach some family of the previous deceased owner but the domain business is getting fishier every year so let the word out

It looks like the last bid for jij on Godaddy auctions - the 95th bid for it, so far - jumped things up from 14,300 (Canadian) to 51,600. That last bid was an automatic bid, and their 2nd bid for jij. Their 1st bid was for 14,200, which someone topped with 14,300, where it then went to 51,600. Any thoughts on what maybe happened there regarding the 51,600? Eg. Maybe they meant more like '15,600' and not '51,600'? They wanted to more quickly take the price up to where the reserve was met? Someone's auto bidding didn't work as planned? .......?

I sold my LLL.com last July for a price I was very happy with.

However, I just happened to check 3Character.com yesterday and found that LLL.com now have a minimum price of $13.5k. Wow!

The market is exploding upwards. NNN.com are at $35k minimum!

I cannot complain because I held my LLL.com for 7 years and made a very healthy profit but if you're still holding LLL.coms then don't be surprised if you get lots of offers.

I bought my domain because I was hoping to profit from the Greater Fool theory and I did, after some patience. Now I wonder where the top could be.

nice play. the top shouldn't be far now given the parabolic rise in price, but we can never be sure where a mania can go
