The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Bear in mind that most, if not all, of these reported sales are between resellers. The major sales (often higher than their .com equivalent) occur privately.

I agree. I don't expect this thread to grow to the size of the LLLL.com thread, yet i hope that this thread will accepted as repository for LLL.net/org sales?

I'm trying to find the reason for the gap between LLL .net and LLL .org prices...

I don't know of any enduser LLL.net sales so I assume it is because there are more .nets registered than .org. Personally I think LLL.orgs are in higher demand to non-domainers than LLL.nets. .net is often seen as what you would go to if the .com is taken, whereas .org actually fills a niche. I think the LLL.net/.org gap is the biggest error on the 3character.com price guide.

I've always thought the same thing.

Oh well -- let them be wrong while I grab the cheap ones. ;)

I know. It's the first "deal" I've seen yet.

Take a look: WQB.org just went on Sedo auction. It started at $280 -- hopefully we'll see a nice new figure for our list! :tu:

must admit they should be the same at least in reseller values. i would take an org over a net anyday, if it werent that i could flip the net for more
having said that i have some one word .nets i cant flip for low xxx, that is the reality of net.

anyway, i would say imho the BIGGEST disparity in domaining is LL.com and L-L.com
But that's another thread :D

And today selling xao.net for the same. I figured that having only just seen it, 20 hours after the email was sent, I had no chance.

I really like xao - pronouncable, brandable ... $800 bargain.

In the meantime I am hoping to secure what I think is a nice lll.org in the BAB format, with B being the 'lesser quality' letters and A being the high quality. Probably about market price but I still think it's a good investment.

jeu.org sold 10,300 EUROS :kickass: :tri: :!:

Sedo reported sales on homepage today

REP ME BABY!

means 'game' in French, so that may be why price is through roof

pye.net went for $830 on Sedo auction yesterday. Good price I reckon (I had bid early on but forgot about the auction until notified it was over).

Cool -- that's a good deal. :imho:

By the way, I'm a Wolfmother fan. I'll have to check out your signature. ;)

For sure - it is the best Wolfmother site on the internet =0)

Not LLL, but o7e.com sold for $510 on Sedo auction today. Which I felt was expensive.

Still at that price! If it stays at that, the buyer is going to get a steal.

The auction is over. I believe I got a bargain. ;)

I'm actually really surprised it sold at only $280. That's $15 below 3character's minimum observed price, and well below what I'd actually pay for the name.

Ah, that is a nice pickup. I thought about bidding on it myself but instead got in on gvq, which I ended up winning at $255 =0)

The other one I mentioned earlier this thread is also confirmed - jmj for $350.

There are more endusers that run businesses for which .com or .net are the best options and less Organisations.

I can see that for .com, but is that really the case for .net? What about heading into the future?

It seems that many people in the world do not have the perception that .net is so bad so...they choose it.

The future.......who knows...Judgement Day will come :o :'(

 I suppose you're right.

.NET appeals to a wider group of people while .ORG only appeals to organizations, so I expect .NET to have more control than .ORG -- I just don't think it makes sense that the gap is so far apart. :imho:
