Summer over - autumn begins - and I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday...

...and we all need to get back to work buying, selling and occasionally developing .TV

In an effort to bring some fun and education to the forum and as a timely reminder for all those new people venturing into the .TV market, I thought it might be nice if we all gave examples of some of our greatest handregs and purchases, dumbest handregs and dumbest purchases - plus the ones we were happy to drop or gutted we sold.

To start, my list would include:


Great Handreg - horserace .tv

Great Purchase - US .tv

Dumb Handregs - Knob .tv (thought it would be great for handles)

DumbPurchase - WildWest .tv ($500 a year prem)

Happy to drop - Ire .tv ($500 a year prem)

Gutted (sad) to have sold - Swap .tv

Hack/TV - purchased for $300 from a NP member. One of my favorite domains in the portfolio.

Dumbest purchases...hmmm...

All my .tv domains to be honest.

There was one I owned which was awesome and I foolishly sold it. Amazing three letter word that was purrrrfect for the extension. I was young and foolish...

They even liked it on DNF!

Great Handreg - SaudiArabian.tv(Surprisingly happy with money I have made with a simple Wordpress blog.)

Great Purchase - never paid more than reg fee for any name.

Dumb Handregs - Ought.tv (actually won an award as worst name here!)

DumbPurchase - Does not apply

Happy to drop - Ought.tv(of course), Hues.tv and Woes.tv

Gutted (sad) to have sold - None, really.

Great Purchase - dogs.tv

Dumb Handregs - too many, roque.tv, rope.tv and pinhead.tv to name a few

Dumb Purchase - de.tv (sold with a $13,000 loss)

Happy to drop - ver.tv (a $1,000 premium)

Gutted (sad) to have sold - e.tv

Lol.....So you started all this.

I was interested in using the backlinks. I had a program that indicated there were around 9000+.
It was only when I had purchased that I discovered they were all forum related, totally useless and disappearing rapidly. :red:
