To keep in touch with the grandkids.

Tell me, what do I need for my computer for Skype?
Yes, I can easily download the software.
What microphone, headsets, camera, etc. do I need?
What do you recommend?

I would recommend a wireless headset for skype

Can you recommend one that actually works properly? We've been disappointed before!

Okay, we are on skype!
Daughter and her husband gave us a webcam not too long ago.
USB connected to computer.
Computer recognized, found the software online (did not have a disc), installed and bam!
Web cam ready.
Then hit skype, and got account.
So from connect to my wife talking to her son?
A little over 5 minutes!

Yes. QQ has a massive Chinese user-base. But I can't see people changing from Skype in the west, unless QQ offers a real advantage. Is there any big plus for QQ?
