T.R.A.F.F.I.C. NYC - Finally!

I've been debating this with myself since T.R.A.F.F.I.C. shows where introduced. Should I go? Is it worth it? Why is it always in Vegas or Palm Beach (I'm in Jersey)?
Now it really feels like "Santa Claus is coming to town" - June 19-22 show will be held right across the river, and I'm running out of excuses to not attend (I've received invitations for a couple of previous shows, but there was always something on the way).
So... WHO'S COMING? I'm eager to finally meet some people (including NP'ers) in person, exchange ideas, start joint projects. Take the next step.

T.R.A.F.F.I.C. NY info.
I don't see the admission fees yet, but they always offer early bird registrations for around $1800.
They also recommend a hotel with some discounts (typically rather upscale), but you can look around for a better/budget deals, especially in advance.

I think that means if you bring your family/spouse they get in for $495, you still have to pay the $1495. I wish I could go, but that admission is kind of steep for me. If it was like $100-200 I might go.

I was thinking the other day about when TRAFFIC might get to New York as well as the monster success of a Moniker auction held there. A TRAFFIC/MONIKER auction in New York City June '07 would eclipse all other auctions to date. Can promise big domain news would come out of that.

A lot of the people I know that go to the shows don't actually attend the panels. Personally I feel them to be pretty worthless
(my perspective only).

I think I've been to 3 or 4 shows and have attended a combined total of maybe 45 minutes worth of panels.

Lots of us end up out front smoking.
