Just a few random thoughts (some funny / some serious) to get you thinking:
----- By knowing where I stand, I automatically know where all other men must stand. They must either stand with me, or stand out of my way.
----- A huge part of true greatness is not realizing how great you really are. Vanity is not found in a truelly great man, while humility is found in abundance.
----- Be open to other men's ideas, rather you agree with them or not. On the flip side, one should never be opened to another's morals that do not match their own.
----- The biggest diffrence between a cat and a dog is that while both will bite you, generally only a dog will save your life (intentionally, anyway). A cat will bite you, and then not save your life, letting it be known how he feels about you. On the other hand, a dog will save your life one day, then bite you the next, leaving you to wonder what he thinks of you. I believe the dog to be the smarter of the two species.
----- Ever hear those "little voices" in your head when you're debating what to do, or rather or not to do something, yet you claim not to believe in a God? A conscience is not possible without God. Guess that just makes you another insane person hearing "voices", doesn't it?
----- The only time you will know all the answers is at the point where knowing them all will not do you any good - after you're dead.
----- I have absolute & unquestionable total faith in the government of my country (US), its laws, and the system as a whole. I just have little faith in the people that run the government, write the laws, or run the system.
----- I used to blame the stupidity going on in society on stupid people. Now, I just blame myself for not knocking those idots off their stupid a**es and doing it better my darn self.
----- Of all the people who may attend my funeral in tears, there is only one I want to see actually crying over my death. That would be the devil. I want to see him crying, knowing his opportunity to gain a soul, which he sees as worth all the precious jewels in the world, is now an opportunity he has forever lost.
----- God, Satan, & yourself are the only three you can never lie to. God knew the truth before you opened your mouth. Satan knew the lie was a lie because he put it there. And, your lying to yourself does nothing but create more lies in the vane hope of making yourself believe the first lies.
----- To many people go through life as if it was a horse race or car race. It is far from it, because in the end, no one wins and we all lose (die). We should run it like a fox hunt, whereby the dogs chase after a goal, but stop from time to time to view and smell the scenery, enjoying what they can from the game.
----- Always reach for the stars. You may never quite reach them, but if you try hard enough to reach the stars, you'll atleast end-up getting a grip on the clouds in between. And, reaching the clouds, in itself, is quite an accomplishment.
----- Try to talk to me about my money, and I'll remind you that it is none of your darn business. Try telling me about your money, and I'll kindly tell you that I really don't care. Start telling me about the government and money, and I'm likely to start asking you what you know about those money-stealing bastards!
----- Three stages of life and learning:
1) Childhood: Full of questions, thinking you know everything to ask, and wishing someone had all the answers to your questions.
2) Teenager: Thinking you have have all those answers and no more questions you could ask.
3) Adulthood: Realizing that not only is no one smart enough to answer all the questions you actually do have, but that you're not even smart enough to have all the questions to begin with.
----- The best advice I can give to a child is for them to listen to everything their parents have to say. The best advice I can give to parents is to say very little, making sure what they do say counts for something.
----- The best gift my grandfather ever gave me was in saying "No, I won't, because you can do it yourself."
----- You can give people the answers to alot of their questions by causing them to think it out themselves. This can often be accomplished by answering their question with either the question "Why do you ask?" or "Why is it so important for you to know?"
----- Share all your knowledge, over time, with alot of people, making sure to keep nothing to yourself. Knowledge kept as a secret is a secret you take to your grave. However, never teach all that you know to any one person, or you may find they use it (intentionally or not) to send you to an early grave.
----- The worst part about getting older is not in knowing that I'm getting closer to my death, but rather it is in knowing that I'm getting further away from the innocence of my childhood.
----- What does the government, a mortitian, and an ex-spouse all have in common? They all are experts at bleeding you dry.
----- If wisdom is power, then how come so many with such great power lack much in the way of wisdom?
----- Alot of folks will argue over what companies, what governments, or what other entities control our world. Regardless of where you live, it is the mass population that has the ultimate control. The problems arise when the vast majority won't stand-up as one and take that control from the "powers that be". Even the strongest governments in the world have crumbled when their citizens finally stood-up in mass and said "No more!"
----- What is the best way for me to show reverance and respect for the loved ones I have lost to death? It is not in some physical memorial, some anually held vigil, some photo or memorabilia I keep, or any other "reminder". I can honor them most, in their deaths, by the way I "live" whatever I have left.
