Hi all,

I just received my second spam email within a month regarding to sell my domain. How often do you get fake domain offers? I know this guy because he sends me a few weeks ago the same email for one of my other domains. Here is was he sends to me, with off course a different name.

Hello,

Are you still interested in selling your domain name? I saw it listed for sale.

Did you get offers from other people?

I need to know your desired price. Please don't ask to make an offer. Just email
the desired price.

I run a software company. We develop client-server systems and databases in Oracle
for a local company. Buying and selling domain names is not my main business. Just
another way to invest money and make additional income.

I know this people because they want you to get an appraisal from Allfordomains . They are against Afternic they hate them because I had a email back from them with in the last sentence “we will win the war” and that was against afternic.

Just tell your story. Thanks

Hi, These letters are always coming and there's been alot discussed here about them, they usually want you to pay to get it appraised - Scam - I personally would never pay for an appraisal. They are just trying to drum up extra business for themselves or someone they know and will have no intention of buying your name. :td: Delete & Ignore them IMO

I just received one today. I registered a name LAST NIGHT. The ink on the reciept isnt even dry and I get an email - exactly like that, different names of course. I've received these over the last couple of years but no where near as quickly as this latest one. Traced the spammer to Moscow and the hosting company of his domain (bonbon.net) AND the name servers as well (NS1.JERKY.NET, NS6.JERKY.NET) to Tucows.

The level of corruption in the Internet industry amazes me. I dont know why but it just does.
