They could have got your e-mail through a whois search.

How ? I am not the only domain buyer. There are millions of others.

Umm, really surprising. I never bid on this name anywhere, but still got it in my personal email. It sounds like a SCAM to me, rather than SPAM.

*Please forward this to the appropriate department/person if this does not apply to you*

Lol, what is this ? :ghost:

What I mean is, if you own a domain name and don't have private registration, your e-mail is out there along with your other information.

I get random e-mails all the time and letters to the address listed on my whois for my domains.

I don't know that this is a SCAM since they are askng for 80 grand or more for the name. This is just domainer spam and I would not think anything of it.

maybe a PM to him will be ok, since he's the one who contacted you first.

It didnt say that you bid on the domain.

Basically its asking you if you want to purchase the domain. These types of letters are sent out to end users all the time. The reason you might be getting it is, your email could have been mistaken for someone elses here at namepros or they just simply think you might be interested.

If you are not interested in the domain i wouldnt worry about it and just ignore it.

Hi,

It was me who sent that e-mail. I have a list of a few dozen past contacts I've talked to in the past for large domain purchases.

Charley, you probably spoke to me before about purchasing Bookmark.com when I was brokering it and is probably why you're on my list. Please e-mail or PM me your username and I'll remove you from the list... I apologize if I bothered you!

If you wouldn't mind, could you please edit out/remove the e-mail contents you pasted? I only sent this out to a couple dozen contacts and it wasn't meant to be shown publicly... I'd appreciate it, thanks :)
