.tv SOLD: TheHill.TV - $4,000

Private sale, via Email.

Last year I posted here that I had a 3k offer for thehill.tv and Jeff replied that I should sell "while the buyer is stiil drunk on eggnog" (or something to that effect). Glad I held out. This is a different buyer. He offered 1k, I countered with 5k and we agreed on 4k. Which I think is a very good deal... for the buyer, and me... as I recently bought a house and have a kid in college... who needs a car.

I assume The Hill as in Capitol Hill in D.C.

Also Beacon Hill in Boston is known as "The Hill" and it's where the State House is located. "The Hill" is used all the time in the media to refer to Beacon Hill and BOston politics.

Congrats on the sale. There's nothing better then needing the money and getting it unexspectedly through a nice domain sale!

The sale is for the domain name, not the site... which I have not updated in a year.

Silicon Finance is right... "The Hill" as in Capitol Hill... though I used it for my mountain community which is also called The Hill.

TheHill.com is a small "inside the beltway" newspaper that covers congress. The buyer did not ID himself as being associated with TheHil.com. However my (post "deal") research shows that he is the editor of Whos Who... which, further research revealed, is a division of the media company that owns TheHill.com... which, the last time I checked, does not have a website showing all their holdings.
