has been purchased for $4,000

It is a premium free name

For those who are not familiar with the UK (and for some who actually live in the UK) this is one of the most beautiful parts of the country with a rich history and vibrant vision of the future (and a shed load of scenery). The recent $10m ad campaign for a local company shows it in its full glory...

The deal for the name was quite intense and I know that several other members here were also involved in trying to acquire the name.

I think a new price has been set for premium free county names by this purchase. However, I feel that, in spite of the economic conditions, this new upper level of pricing will trend even further upwards.




Further to this I would also announce that the UK's smallest county - Rutland.tv - was also purchased today by our team from Kam for a price of $2,800

I think the UK geo market just got more interesting!

Buying up any quality Geo's without the premium renewal is always a great move & are worth paying that little bit extra for. IMHO

Uk market has really became hot over the last 6 Months so getting any UK Geo with no premium is a good move, especially if you are a developer.

Wish i'd bought more Uk geo's last year when i decided against it as the market wasn't very hot.

As a great lover of Shropshire I also managed to buy the main county town Shrewsbury.TV

The bizarre thing is that literally two hours after I took control I had my first offer on the name.

Didn't accept, mainly because I have plans for a local channel here, but it's nice to know my purchase was worthwhile.
