Snapnames - Suspended. Warning to beginners.

I wanted to share my experience as a beginner on SnapNames and maybe others can share similar issues.

I finally found domain I was interested on at SnapNames "exclusive - available soon", so I waited the last 5 minutes to place bid. I got the success status (Added to account) after I placed order, on the last minute my account was suspended, my bid removed, and other new bidder was added. my account was 2-3 months ago, I have logged in every other day to this account without issues till the last minute.

Update: I called this morning, best customer service btw, and the good news is my bid wasn't removed. I was told after bidding if account is "new", system will suspend account for verification. no idea why they wait AFTER you bid, if you are new always contact customer service before bidding.

That's good to know. Can you provide a bit of backstory and explain why? That'd be really helpful for those of us that don't know much about either but want to.
