not sure if everybody knows about this so...
a little story and advice to you all
i recently wanted to sell a name , so i listed it on a few places and i also decided to list it on snapnames - on the offer/counter offer option,
the name is listed at moniker ( you cant list a name on snap if its not being hosted at moniker )
i admit i did not read the little letters in contract agreement , but i was really surprise of what happen next ...
day after my listing was approve and confirm at snap i did a whois on the domain from some reason and i was really really surprise to see the name is no longer listed on my name and the whois was saying "snapnames pending auction "
i did not had control over the name any more !
i could not sell it on outer venous , and worse then that - i emailed a few domain buyers about it - but now i cant really prove i own the name any more...
i must also say that after calling and emailing moniker and snapnames i could manage to cancel the listing and get the name back to my control so the response i got from them was pretty quick and good .
again - part of it was my own fault for not reading the little letters in the sale contract but still... changing the whois of the name seem very brutal , i know i wont be listing my name there again .
so if you are planing to list your name at snapnames take that factor into account .
just my 2 cents
