Snapnames question

I think this may have been covered but I can not seem to find a thread ...

Anyway, I have 3 domains on backorder at Snapnames. One of them has a release date of January 13th.

I am assuming Snapnames did not get the domain when it dropped??

Is there any way I can find out who did and how much the name went for in auction if I am not involved in the auction?

^ Likely, yes (they did not get it). Check Whois and see the latest IMHO.

Did Snapnames ever notify you that they, in fact, secured the domain name ... and that an auction at their site subsequently ensued? :gl:

I'm involved in one right now, actually ... above is what occurred with mine, and the Snapnames auction ends this Friday, 1/20.

I did not get any notice from Snapnames, no... So I guess that one is over...

The other two do not release for a few days... I guess I will wait and see....

Righto, check Whois and see if it reveals any current info IMHO.

by the way - most of the times snapnames sends out email it's delayed by a couple of hours...

When I do a whois on the domain I get this:

We are unable to process your request at this time. The whois informationis unavailable for this domain for one of the following reasons:

(4) Your IP address has been restricted;

and I tried it on two different sites...

Also, the domain is parked and it is a Pool parking page, do you think Pool got the domain when it dropped but nobody placed a bid on pool.com? is that even possible? I thought they only secured names that had bids???

that means it has dropped.. but not yet auctioned.. give me the domain and I'll check now on Pool and let you know

Snapnames have always sent me an email if they did'nt manage to secure the name
