I always find January to be a great month for domain name sales as many (wannabe) entrepreneurs have come up with new businesses ideas, projects, products or services over the holiday period which results in increased traffic and interest in good domain names.

I thought it would be fun to share which domains of yours were the first ones to receive some love in this new decade. Feel free to share any details such as the offer, country of the interested party or if the inquiry has led to a sale.

I'll start:

All received on January 2nd.

Brisk/io - price request
BadMonkey/com - price request
MoralSupport/com - price request

a few smaller sales so far... nothing really amazing for january.

currently negotiating a good short VR related .ca name by email bodis inquiry.. wth some russian guy

he started at $300.. went to $500.. im like $700.

i only own a few .ca.. like 20-30

and i very rarely reg new ones now... stilll sometimes sales do happen. but I find that extension too random and risky... im talking handregs of course... u can probably invest 100s or 1000s into .ca and increase your sale chances.. then again, maybe not...

i also revived an older gd offer a few days ago... which is yet another great feature of gd whereby u can go back in time and make lower offers to your previous counteroffers.. and negotiations can restart.. happened few times to me.. qand im sure overall on gd, by this method, buyers sellers and gd auctions, are able to generate countless additional sales that otherwise without this option would just die and be a dead end. so thumbs up for this! so yeah i revived an old $20 offer from few motnhs back... which i then countered 2k... i now sent a counter of 1k for it... buyer replied with 150$... he is at 500$ now... im at 650$.... so this should sell soon. its an io.

so these are my current domain adventures.. i give abit more detail to benefit others as well.. cause not everyone may know of this gd revival feature.

cheers, all the best in february sales!

cool
did you do any outbound on it?

I did and I quickly found out that the ideal end-user had already been pestered about the domain and wasn't interested. I only did outbound to about 3 potentials. The offer came about a month after my efforts and wasn't from one of the 3 I reached out to (as far as I can tell).

How much did your counter?

Low $x,xxx based off similar reported sales from Namebio. I hadn't set a BIN before my counter so I tried my luck.

I immediately realized I need to update many of my minimum offers for various names across all platforms, because there are just some names I'm going to try to reach on and any minimum offer needs to be something I'd be able to sleep with if necessary.

Received a $16k offer on digitalchain .com through domain agents. I declined.

I would have taken the money fast... It's a redundant brandable...are there chains that aren't digital? ๐Ÿ˜
