Sedo Offer 2 Days After Hand Reg - Counter Or Accept?

City + Profession domain name. Only my .com is taken. I made the offer minimum $500, so that is the offer of buyer. This is one of those domain names that I could have just as easily set as a BIN for the 500 and forgot about it. My counter offer would be double and I'd be happy to settle on 750. Am I being greedy here? I'd love to know the statistics on how often a double counter offer leads to no sale.

You take a chance either way. If you don't need the money, and don't mind the possibility of potentially not receiving another offer, then a counter may be the way to go. Names like these can be popular, depending upon the profession. However, it could also be a feeler offer from someone just wanting to know the actual price.

IMO, accept the offer, and hope the buyer actually completes the transaction. From my view, a possible 500 for a recent hand-reg that probably cost less than 20 to get, and was available since seemingly no one else wanted it, is too good to pass up...but that's just me.

Thx for the reply Rev. I just had a nice lunch and my full stomach says I won't counter or send to auction. Namebio only shows two past sales of this combination. Tampa $125 and NewYork $1100. I'll take the $500 and use it to buy other domains! I'll post the sale in the sold thread if it goes through.
