If you sell domain through sedo you have to pay 10% of the sales price. But why should i pay 10% if i can use external transfer service and pay only 3%.
What is the difference.
Thanks

The problem is that the buyer contacts you through Sedo and Sedo don’t disclose the buyer information. Many internet users don’t have the skill to find your information in a whois so you have two options: pay Sedo their fee or reject the offer.
Right and I would not mind 10 % if the lead came from SEDO I mean you have to be willing to compensate salespeople or sales marketplaces but keep it at 10% I got an offer for Football.sc 250 EUROS I replied back I need mor edue to SEDOS ridiculous fees SEDO allowed the comment which was funny he came back with 300 EUROS SEDO wanted to take 150 EUROS because It a .sc NO OFFENSE SEDO but that Name is at IDOTZ and is the same push as a .com I declined offer because I am not giving them half. MARA where are you please justify this FEE of 50 %
Sedo takes a very strong stance against users attempting to circumvent its fees.
Solicitation of an offsite sale
Sedo works hard to provide the Internet’s #1 domain marketplace. Soliciting domain sales outside of the Sedo marketplace for the purpose of circumventing fees that would otherwise be due to Sedo is strictly prohibited. This includes using user contact information obtained from Sedo or using any of Sedo's services or features to offer to sell any listed domains outside of the Sedo marketplace or sending unsolicited commercial email offers to bidders that have bid on your domains, or any domains listed on the Sedo marketplace.
Sedo's 10% commission on sales covers a number of services. We offer access to tens of thousands of active users. You can have a great domain name, but if it is not promoted in the right places it may never receive the exposure to sell.
The owner of freecellphone.com had the domain for sale for months before he listed it with Sedo. The domain was added to our featured showcase, within four hours the seller received an offer which lead to a 50,000 EUR sale.
If anyone is really concerned about the commission just add 10% to the sale of the domain.
Concerning the minimum transfer fee for .sc domains, I will speak to our transfer agents for information regarding the commission.
In some instances transferring .sc domains can be as painless as pushing the domain to the buyer's account at the same registrar. However not all registrars provide the simple push option and buyers often prefer to transfer a domain to the registrar they're most comfortable with. Transferring .sc domains is often very difficult and this is reflected in the commission.
SORRY mara but that is a weak answer to justify 50 % commission Bottom Line IDOTZ is af ree push I do nto care what others are I could say I want a .com transferred to my registrar in China that could be a hassle but you are not charging them high fees.
