Hi All! :hi:

By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas! Happy Holidays!

Always,
Keith

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

This is an .io domain. Admittedly, I renewed it during the grace period but that was two months ago.

This SSL-Error still persists for many Landing-Pages.
Even for domains which worked fine previously, now the Landing-Page does not show-up with www and SSL.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_UNRECOGNIZED_NAME_ALERT

Because, secretly, we're somehow in love with the British. I don't know why: Shakespeare, Churchill, Orwell (1984 = 2026?), the Beatles, the Stones and Punk, Kate Moss, the Premier League? Food and weather certainly aren't reasons for unrequited love, and we've always contributed a German touch to the Royal Family through marriage.
Hey, I can do a great pie & mash with gravy, and it's been sunny here today :xf.smile:

Not keen on the others, apart from punk and the premier league.

It's snowing in Germany. Even the sky weeps when the recipient of a self-destructive declaration of love takes weeks to react in any way. Oh Britannia.

I'd rather have a pint of ale.
Bloody lol, wot!?
Back to the topic. I finally went ahead and verified my Sedo account via Adyen, and it didn't hurt at all. Germans aren't revolutionaries, but they are magnificent complainers.

Recently I've been getting spam from .de addresses. Over 20+ years I've never seen such a thing. Ach du lieber!

Where is the "reject offer" button? @Sedo

As far as remember, there was no option to reject the first offer, which, I suppose, was intended to motivate *some* answer. In practice it motivated me to leave some offers hanging.

@sg08 that looks like an offer on a buy it now domain. If you do not like the offer, ignore it. If it is close or you have a lower price in mind, change your buy it now price and the system will notify the person who made the offer.

The system seems to be totally automated right now.

Transactions are deathly slow and if the system initially screws up when loading new domains, they just sit there forever. Like others have said, it looks bad in an EOL kind of way.

I really despise how if Sedo screws up the verification on 1 out of 100's of my domains, then this ONE failed domain gets put to the "back of the bus" and then is never verified for days on end. I once spent a week patiently waiting for a domain to re-verify, but it never happened.

And this is not a DNS propagation issue, as all my domains are hooked to the same DNS mule/record, and the other 99.5% of them processed no problem. Sedo just has a hiccup in the middle of processing and your domain is placed in limbo.

What should happen is when any domain verification fails, for whatever reason, a hour or two later the system should try to re-verifiy. But it doesn't and I've been sitting here two days waiting.

This is always screwing up my domain processing (I need to change the NS back sometime...), and worse, there is no "re-verify" button or user function to wake their system up, and the domain just sits there with a "1 domains are pending ownership verification" warning, day after day.

Sedo's published report says that for the first time ever in 2025 their sales via their MLS partnerships exceeded sales on the platform itself. They claim that 2025 was a very good year for Sedo for sales, no mention of parking.

What are the latest updates on the Greadomains auction, and have there been any notable domain name sales?

I wanted to reach out regarding ongoing issues we have been experiencing on your platform over the past 48 hours. Could you please confirm if there are any maintenance activities or technical disruptions currently affecting Sedo? We have been facing significant difficulties during this period, which is impacting our operations. We would appreciate any updates on the situation including the expected resolution time.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to your prompt response.

Quick tip for whoever the new CEO is. Last 48 months, 25% of my Sedo sales were non-payment. Wish I didn't look so closely, I thought it was more like 10-15%. Obviously the CEO can't control the buyer, but don't waste our time with 2,3, or 4 weeks of waiting.

SEDO has been a very non-commited platform for several years in my experience. I didn't calculate it, but 25% failure rate for accepted deals seems on point. Don't know what causes this.

Let me add, that after weeks of trying to get the buyer info for my last failed transaction, they finally coughed it up.

And of course it's obvious why they didn't want to share it, because the first name is someone from Dubai that tried to by the domain from me before on a different venue; however, the buyer is listed as a US resident in the Sedo contract. The zip code in the USA is 6 digits(should be 5). Looks like Sedo does not use any sort of zip verification. The address is simply 4 digits, no street name. And finally the state is simply 'US'.

Fortunately Sedo says I can ".....may take legal action against him...."

So another suggestion for the new CEO. Use some sort of address verification system.

TY.

That's one part of the puzzle for sure.
