By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

If they sign up under your affiliate anything they do in the future you will always get commission.

Is Sedo really pay to seller money?

i sold a domain on sedo 35 ago but sedo did not send me the money to my bank account...Why?????????????

I am really curious about something I noticed to day.

I typed in a domain that I don't own (n f c t e c h dot c o m) and it took me to a Sedo parking page, with a feature I have never seen before. In the lower right corner was a box with this message:

Can you add contact boxes like that to listings there? Or is that really just emailing Sedo?

I had thought personal data on listings at Sedo was not permitted. Maybe the policy changed...

If I click on the email address, it actually goes to the Sedo Offer Page, not to my email client. I googled the email, there are some interesting results that turn up. Here's one of them: http://sameid.net/emails/kerryweb(x)gmail.com/

Additionally, if you google the phrase,
domain is for sale. Please contact to [email protected].
It returns some 300 results. So this company must have a special relationship with Sedo.

Agree. Really a lot of crap these days. The worst thing is the trademark cases like mac-tv.com. Don't understand how Sedo can allow that since it gives the whole platform a bad name.

90+ domains just ended at noon est and not a single bid for any of the names. Very low quality. There were 30 or so yesterday, same thing.

Did everyone else get an email from Sedo asking them to rate the Sedo transfer process and transfer agent? Possibly you only get this after a sale.

There is plenty to criticise at Sedo, but I'm happy to say last time I sold a domain there the whole process took less than 24 hours, from the time the buyer hit the buy button until the funds were in my account. I was impressed.

Yes, you get those after a sale. My last sale was also completed in less than 24 hours as well, which is the way it should be. My transfer agent never speaks to me... but it gets done.

Those zero-click Sedo landing pages are the worst, at least for users unlucky enough to land on one. They send you all over and eventually you get some ultra-spammy alarmist message that your CPU is laden with viruses, or some such nonsense. Then when you try to leave, another spammy dialog box pops up asking "Do you really want to leave this page?" and possibly yet another before you can actually escape and browse safely. These kinds of tactics are unconscionable, first of all. Second of all, for a domain owner it's asking for trouble.

I thought it was just me. I had a sale this week and received my funds in 2-3 days. That beats the 2-3 weeks like it used to be.

Interesting on the auctions at Sedo.

A number of $99 auctions with 2 days 7 hours, 3 days 7 hours, 4 days and 7 hours to run as of time of posting.

What is so strange?

Nearly every one of them has one bid to create reserve met status.Quite amazing as some of them are garbage. Perhaps it's just me?
