By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

I have a domain listed for sale at Sedo - serpents.tv - but when I look for it using the search box it never shows up can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, if anything ?

It must be on your end, because it shows up right at the top when I search for serpents.

Hi

I have few questions:
How long do verifying process usualy go ?
Why my domain is not verified but ads are displayed and number of visit is counted on a domain ?
How can I ad a domain only for sale ? If I ad a domain only for sale without changing dns, will there be any problems with verifying because of that ?
When I ad domain to the parking service, will it be better change dns befroe or after adding a domian ? Does it matter ?

How I remember sometime ago I saw many domains with "reserve not met" on sedo sale list, now there are not to many like that, only brokerage domains. Did you change rules for that in the past ?

What does it mean a number of bids on sedo sale list ? Is it a number of bids which were not accepted by an owner ?

Does it appling a flat 10% provision (without a minimum commision) for parked com domains depend from an sedo automatie system or from a sedo transaction consultant ?

Hi Keith, any chance of having the option to display the traffic stats or not.

(I know about the less than 50 option)

About a year ago I had suggested to Mara about this option and they "almost" implemented it. close but no cigar

I've also tried to email a few times (about 6 months ago) but never got a reply...no surprise there.

Hi, I have an urgent question:

I have 1 domain just parked from few days that receives about 100 uniques daily, type in traffic.

I was wondering if the stats keep counting the traffic if I develop the website ....I think not because the SEDO stats won`t be there...but just checking...

My traffic and rev is down about 40% . It started dropping in Jan.
Even my strong and reliable names.

Is there any change of the processing when adding domains to Sedo?

I was trying to add some domains to my Sedo account yesterday. Unlike what happened in the past (Domains would be sisplayed imediately in account, or stay on the top of your domain management page in Red color to tell you under verifing), I could not find where is my new added domains: Not in my account, no mails or any notification from Sedo to inform me what is the status....

Anyone knows what happened?

I wanted to know if it is possible to add names to a portfolio before it gets a visitor? I do not see a way, and I know that I can email my account rep to add names to portfolios, but it would be nice if we could add the names into their respective portfolios when we add the name, rather than when they get their first click.

Lol ... laughable results these days at SEDO'nt. This is a single name history and you can see in Jan 08, about the time sedo'nt added that little "code", the drop in rev. 100% of traffic is type in unique and I've changed nothing on my end. This month this name is at $ .68 .

Hi Gazzup,

Right now there is no way to remove traffic stats if the traffic amounts are over 50 uniques for the previous 32 days. We strongly beleive that the traffic helps to faciliatate negotiations on the markeptlace. However, we will take this feedback into consideration.

As you may have received word of when logging into your account, we experienced a bug that prevented new additions to certain accounts for about a day. This has been fixed, and any domains you tried to list can be added now. The text from this news item has been copied here:

"Due to technical complications, any domains that were entered into Sedo’s database between February 24th, 01:00:00 GMT +1 and February 25th, 01:00:00 GMT +1 were unable to be processed. To ensure all intended domains get listed, we ask that customers, who entered domains during this time, please take a moment to re-entered them into Sedo’s system.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding of the situation.

Also, please note that the rest of Sedo’s functionalities were unaffected by this issue."

Yes, i would love that too.

Currently, there is not a way to add domains to a portfolio that have not recieved traffic through your account. However, this idea will be mentioned to our parkign and development staff. There is a good chance that something of this nature can be integrated into the Optimizer section, but I can make no guarantees.

Thanks for the reply Keith. I hope that they can figure out a way to implement it. It is kind of annoying waiting around for them to get a visitor when you add a handful of fresh regged names (or asking our account manager to do it).
