Hello NamePros community! We are creating a single thread where we can share announcements in, talk about product updates, people can ask questions and host a great discussion on all things domains!

Issue resolved!I will DM you. I mean, I know how to unlock a domain if the system actually worked.
The issue is I can't even get to the option to unlock the domain because of your flawed two-stage authentication system.
I talked to someone else with the exact same issue.
Brad
I just asked a dev to take a look at it today. We have had much longer than usual ticket reply times over the last month or so, but for a good reason. Instead of just manually handling each ticket, we are taking the time to investigate the root cause and permanently fix the issue the caused it in the first place. It means that tickets will take longer to get resolved in the short term but will make for a much better experience for everyone, with improvements being released daily.I opened a ticket 14 days ago, and I have no response yet.
The ticket is about some auctions I won and the domains never delivered, and about some domains I have in my account that are not resolving at all.

@Nick R
Do I have to mention it in this thread to be resolved?

This particular approach marks a significant and much-needed improvement. Chapeau.Instead of just manually handling each ticket, we are taking the time to investigate the root cause and permanently fix the issue the caused it in the first place.
We agree this is the right approach! We are trying to balance both root cause resolutions but won't always get it right. Feel free to post any ticket number here and tag me and we can esclate those.This particular approach marks a significant and much-needed improvement. Chapeau.
(I also concur with @Traderas regarding waiting times)
The domains in the ticket have been resolved, and support should be reaching out shortly! The core issue was that when a domain was disabled due to not having a registrant verified within 14 days, and the contact was switched to a previously verified registrant, the ICANN-required locks were not always removed. We have fixed the bug and removed the locks manually.I opened a ticket 14 days ago, and I have no response yet.

I didn't follow all of that but please let me know if I can help with anything specific.Been a while now, and all domains have been moved to Dynadot, surprisingly not a single complaint.
Is anyone still considering SAV?
@Nick R
While being on a petty level you will still get sued over this.
Anyone still considering this absolute ±zyx to be able to handle your domain names, best of luck.
Repeating this once more and weeks later... never use Sav or deal with Nick if your domain names are important to you.
It's even funnier when they come out claiming their Legal team would do better yet you did not even hire one otherwise you would not be in this mess. Keep up, you still own me thousands in transfer fees but I can't keep waiting on support for one month and up.
Clowns, shit register, good auctions which seem to be finished as well.
Yes you can list domains in SAV auctions from any registrar.
Yes you have to point the NS there.
You better first point the NS and wait to propagate, and then start the auction, otherwise the landing page will never synchronise.
The terms are that you can't list domain that expire in the next 2 months.
But I see many actions of expired domains, no one checks them.
While I agree that it would be convenient, I can't see that being manageable for SAV. They need to be paid immediately or they'll end up with heaps of unpaid invoices.Right now, SAV automatically tries to charge the default payment method on file when a domain is successfully caught. While this is convenient in some cases, I think it would be great if SAV could introduce a manual payment option to give users more control and flexibility over the payment process.Manual Payment Option: After catching a domain, instead of automatically charging the default payment method, SAV could generate an unpaid invoice. Users could then pay manually via the billing panel, giving more control over when they complete the transaction. or they could be added to a cart, and users could choose to pay for when it’s most convenient for them.
I think these changes could make the backorder process smoother and less stressful for users, reducing the risk of failed or unexpected charges.

Bipul
Dropcatch has a similar manual payment option once the domain is caught; users can log in and pay immediately. Let me elaborate on why this is important: One of my backorders succeeded today, and SAV attempted to charge my card on file, but the transaction failed due to insufficient funds. However, after ensuring sufficient funds on my card, I tried to make the payment but found no option to do so. When I contacted support, they said it wasn’t possible and that the system would retry the payment automatically. I don't know when the system will retry.While I agree that it would be convenient, I can't see that being manageable for SAV.
