Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Hey Back in office now!

So @NicTraders is mostly correct, since it's a broker order (in that it's coming from afternic or sedo) it can sometimes take quite a bit to acquire the name since we don't have control over it's delivery (even if it's with us as it's not being sold by us so Afternic has to initiate the transfer). If the name is on FT/MLS usually it's done within a day or so though, it's just if it's on the regular way it'll take a bit longer as Afternic needs to do it manually.

Any name purchased through our site directly is processed within 1 business day, with some exceptions like if additional verification is needed for the buyer.

Thank you. This time the process took 26 hours from start to finish. Talking about underpromising and overdelivering.:xf.smile: Of course I'm well aware of possible delays and their causes, but I still think DD's communication could be more reassuring since the buyer can get the domain swiftly.

Hi,

Someone listed TODAY my exclusive Dynadot domain portfolio dynadot.com/user/premiums on Sedo and Afternic without my permission:
Show attachment 303041

Why did this happen? Dynadot has an option to auto-reject listings-is it not working?

Show attachment 303042

It's the same thing as someone listing your real estate for sale without permission. This kind of scam ruins the reputation of the domain industry. It means platforms like @Sedo and @GoDaddy end up deceiving buyers by offering inventory they don't actually have.

If you like my domains, you must buy them first and only then list them as yours. Selling someone else's property without permission is theft.

Hi,

It happens the same to me on the same day for afternic marketplace.
Don't know if someone did this fraudulently or if there is an issue with dynadot or afternic.
The only thing I know is that I had my domains registered elsewhere with afternic fast transfert turned on. When I transfered my domains to Dynadot, I didn't remove the fast transfert authorization from the previous registrar. then I deleted my domains from afternic marketplace.
Got an answer from afternic saying that the domains have been deleted from its marketplace (that means that it seems that someone else did list my domains)
At this time, I still don't have the Dynadot answer. I wanted to know how this could happen that an afternic price appears for some of my names and I receive a fast transfer request while my dynadot account is not linked with my afternic account.

@Caleb Tweed This feature doesn't seem to be working anymore:

I keep being logged in even when I am not active in my account.

Quite a few bugs after you (apparently) did a website upgrade.

Quite a few bugs after you (apparently) did a website upgrade.

Lots of older bugs seem to be resurfacing.

@Caleb Tweed the following one has been fixed, thanks:

When filtering by folder, the select box is now very short, cutting off longer labels. Is it possible to widen it a bit, back to what it was before?

There's another bug where I have set my default currency to be USD in the settings. However, this isn't honored:

and every time I manually change it to USD in the above box & close the browser and visit Dynadot, it sets the currency back to GBP again.

Both your DD screenshot, and Whois show that this domain will in fact expire in less than 15 days.

Two steps forward one step back apparently, could you DM me your username please? It seems to work for mine at the moment but maybe there's something I'm missing.

Dyna's backorder service is not the stuff dreams are made of. But every now and again, one slips through

Both solved. Thanks @Caleb Tweed, especially the time you guys spent making sure the currency issue was fixed (y).

I was wondering if @Dynadot have considered allowing longer Lease-To-Own periods. Right now they are the time remaining on registration, or 12 months, maximum (the seller can set to less than this if desired).

I sort of understand that it is better, especially in cases with substantial renewal costs, to only allow LTO out to the length currently renewed. But i don't understant why, if for example a name is already renewed for 30 months, that there still is a maximum of 12 months for LTO.

I think in the current business climate more and more are wanting to spread out a cost. Most of the competitors (e.g. Unstoppable, Spaceship, Afternic and Atom depending on price) allow much longer LTOs. I think Dynadot, and sellers, for certain domain names could benefit from length flexibility.

Thank you in advance for considering this suggestion.

Hey Bob! That's actually something we're actively working on. Should have that added in the very near future!

Would love to know the name or even pattern to understand if this was a hand-reggable domain or if it truly was a good pickup.
