One funny thing you notice is virtually every domain containing the word domain was taken, long ago. Bizarre when you consider the small number of domainers you could sell them to.
Do you think a domain or email would be better with or without the word domain in it?
A lot of people now set up their own sales site to avoid steep commissions.
I was able to get a hotmail/ address with quality and domain name in the title, is hotmail popular in the states > or maybe people are going 'say what'
I've not noticed or perceived any bias against my sales because I sell from a gmail address. About half my inquiries come via my sales website, the other 50% comes from the parking page and whois.
I guess free email services are not good if we have in mind spam filters. At least I read it somewhere here cause never used free emails for this purpose.

But it sounds like you are talking about people approaching you, not you approaching them. But yes they would see the email address in the whois before deciding to send/
