Rush: 80% Chance Hillary Will Be Next Prez

Excerpted from RushLimbaugh.com:

Whatever it is, they're doing everything they can to take Rudy out. Everybody says, "Well, what about Obama? What about Obama?" Folks. I know there are stories out there how the Clintons are worried about Obama and not just on this fundraising stuff, but his "godlike status to the godless" and so forth. If you're the Clinton machine, and your single competitor is somebody with less than two years experience in these foxholes, do you really think they are worried about Barack Obama? If you have fallen for the notion that the Clinton machine is sort of upside down and discombobulated and doesn't quite know what's going on here, you are falling for more myths from the media, which is designed to make it look like she has real competition so that she can overcome obstacles rather than be this candidate of inevitability -- which she is. So she's trying to make it look like she's got a serious challenge and she's up to it, and she can handle it. But I'm telling you, I know the Clinton machine. If you think they are seriously worried about somebody with as little experience as Obama has in these kinds of things, then you're falling for it.

You're being sucked in for all this. There is an 80% chance this woman is going to be next president, as things sit here today. In politics, everything can change, and it can change on a moment's notice. But all of these attacks and all of this budding attempt -- and it's not new; it's just intensifying now -- to discredit conservative information as misinformation reported by liars and racists, is about destroying the credibility of anybody who has anything in opposition, to save the Clintons and their quest to be re-ensconced in the White House. It's what all this is about. It's also about making sure that if Mrs. Clinton wins and so forth, that there won't be an alternative media. Hello, Fairness Doctrine. Hello, all of these things to just squelch it. They don't want to hear it. They want to go back to their monopoly days. That's what this is all about. So when you keep talking about this in the context of Imus, it's so much more about things having nothing to do with Imus than you would possibly believe. In fact, don't get distracted when you think about this by putting it in the context of Imus. If it was about Imus, it would be over, wouldn't it? And it's not, is it?

I'm going to guess thats just for the democrat candident. As far as I know the replublicans havn't even released their condidents, so it would be kind of hard to predict anything with only knowing one side.

I think this country has had enough of Clintons in the White House...

I don't know who the next president will be, but I doubt it will be Hilary..

rush limbaugh is a big fat idiot in my opinion, and i don't believe a single word from his mouth.... everything in this excerpt is a description of the practices of this current administration, which in my opinion is the most corrupt, evil administration in US history.

Biased as they come, Rush is just a mouthpeice for the RNC and Faux news.

But that's my 2 cents...

I think Hilary surely deserves that. Everyone is fed-up with Jr.Bush.

Nah, Hillary won't win.

...at least she'd better not anyways, for the sake of the entire country.

Hm, didn't take long to get a warning banner on this thread..

Well, while normally I'd prefer to vote republican, I've yet to see one I'd vote for out of the list of potentials..

I think, barring some unforseen faux pax, we can start addressing Hillary as Madame President..

if i decide to vote, it'll probably be for obama.

if hillary wins, then that will mean only bushes and clintons would have had controll of the whitehouse in the past 20 years. who's next? Jeb Bush? and then who...Chelsey? We'd move beyond a two party political system and become a two family system....no more republican and democrate, it'd become "Bush" and "Clinton"

It's way to early to start saying anything of the sort. Polls from Bill Clinton's first race at this time had him way down at the 3% of the votes yet he went on to win. There's a lot of media hype behind Clinton and Obama, but come January of 2009, we won't be swearing in Hillary for President.

Quite frankly, I don't want a Bush or Clinton in the White House. 20 years of their two dynasties is enough for me. I think it funny people accuse Bush of a dictatorship or abuse of power and then going and voting Hillary when the Clintons are doing the very same thing.

That being said, Rush made the comments he made to stir up some things IMHO.

As far as choices go I like Barack Obama for the Dems and Mike Huckabee (governor of Arkansas) for the Republicans.

I value integrity more than party loyalty....

Party loyalty, IMO, shouldn't even enter into the picture.. people should be well-informed and vote with their heads, not their hearts.

Ummm....Ok.... BTW - He has had his radio show prior to the current administration.

But hey back to the topic. I think this 80% is just for the democratic ticket for the elections vs of having Hillary in the White House(again).

I know that there has been many family dynasties in the White House.
George W. Bush (the 43rd president) is the son of George Bush (the 41st president).

John Quincy Adams (the 6th president) was the son of John Adams (the 2nd president).

Benjamin Harrison (the 23rd president) was the grandson of William Henry Harrison (the 9th president).

James Madison (the 4th president) and Zachary Taylor (the 12th president) were second cousins.

And Theodore and Franklin D. Roosevelt were distant, 5th cousins.

So it would be historical beyond just a 1st woman president. But when both a husband and wife were a US President.

Although it just would not settle with me to well. Spouses share alot more than father to son or cousins do.

go figure, Rush would think that, she has shot at winning,i'll say that, the reason, there are to many dumb a##'s that would vote her in on the mere frustration of the way things are going right now.

I don't know why so many people are against the Clintons. I mean, Democrat or Republican, there is factual evidence to prove that Bill Clinton's presidency brought out the best economic success that the US has ever seen. Even if you don't like the Clintons, you know that gas wasn't $3.00+ a gallon under his watch (which the current president is ignoring), and that the majority of Americans had beneficial health care (and right now the only people I know in real-life that have decent healthcare are gov't workers.) It's sad that all of the money that has been poured into Iraq, could have been used to finance 4-year college schooling for every young college-aged American, like myself. I find it particularly strange that when Bill Clinton had an affair, everyone wanted him impeached. Then, Newt Gingrich (whom was a huge critic of Clinton's affair) comes along 10 years later to say that he had an affair too and no one says 'boo' about it. Oh, and of course they told us the war was because of WMD's in Iraq, which ended up being an admitted lie (and we're still over there?) Anyway, I could go on and on about corruption/lies/irony within the current presidential administration but I don't feel like further bickering. I don't generally have a problem with Conservatives/Republicans (as I'm Left-Center), but I do have a major problem with the current administration.

I think Hilary has a good chance at becoming president, she knows her stuff. I'm not saying I'd vote for her (I'd probably go with Edwards, Gravel, or Obama) but I really wouldn't be surprised if Hilary is the next president. I wouldn't doubt if many Republican women vote for her just because they either agree with her on a few points and/or because of the fact that she's a woman. I guess time will tell.

They said that about Roosevelt as well after WWII. So blah blah blah.

Welcome to the COL - Cost of living. Rent, prices on housing is going up. As well as groceries. Even healthcare(btw - the Clintons did not put a cap on that)(but Gore did invent the internet and Global Warming) So blah blah blah

Bill Clinton had an affair

So did John Kennedy and no one is booing him.
