She did what she had to do, Now i feel she will win the nomination, She should take Pennsylvania with about the same margin as she did Ohio, Imo

I spent two hours in line waiting to vote today, People where very tense in the line, It was by far, the most tense i have seen people, since i began voting in 1983.

Although many Obama supporters here, Will rise and say, It is no even close to over, I disagree, Clinton has won the biggest states, If they elect to push the primary to Florida, which has been discussed, to settle the score, she will win Florida, And i have a feeling Al Gore will endorse her, If that were to happen.

This is a great day for me, I NEVER in a million years would have thought, I would be saying GO Hillary, But i am.

I am not even worried about the election, The day i see Obama concede to Clinton, Will be a day of celebration.

I'm right with you X. We need Clinton to win the nomination because she will have absolutely no chance at winning the presidency.

I'm not a big fan of McCain, but I rather have him in office. :imho:

Same here Bill, I do not support McCain on Iraq, nor his views on Iran, And sorts of military actions. But with the three people we have to choose from, McCain has my vote.

I want to be able to live a half normal life, after the election is over, McCain can give me that.

I dont like anybody at all right in the race right now.

As a conservative, Thompson was my main choice long ago. I don't like McCain at all and I dont think he represents the republican party one bit. If it were between clinton and mccain, Id almost vote hillary but i probably wouldnt

I hear ya Dogger, Mitt Romney had my vote early, Once he dropped out, And it became a three way race between, Obama, Clinton and McCain, All i felt was hopeless, I think if Hilliary were to beat McCain, We could live with that, after all, we made it through Jimmy Carters term, We can definitely make it through a McCain or Clinton term.

Obama is whole nother story, His lack of credentials, scare me to death, and the fact he has never done any thing, Is really scary.

So it can go McCain or Clinton in the Oval Office, as far as i am concerned, we can get through one term, of either one of them being President.

why would McCain ensure half a normal life to live?

To be honest the conservativism of the republicans is just scary, I hope we in Europe will not have the same trend with right-wing political parties taking control. The only way forward is liberal and progressive, conservativism is just taking a step back or maximum a status-quo. The Republican agenda on issues like capital punishment, abortion, religious influence on society etc is just scary. Well, what happens in the US is not directly affecting me, but if the influence of the US on Europe maintains it could indirectly influence European voters and I really don't want any conservative right-wing government here in Europe.

McCain scares the bejeepers out of me ... :o :imho:

I did not think that Clinton would win the primary in Texas (although Obama ended up winning key delegates in that state in the caucuses), but I did think she'd sqeek out a win (and a few extra delegates) in blue collar, heavily anti-NAFTA Ohio, IMHO. It's still Obama's deal to lose ... the next big showdown is Pennsylvania in April (as far as a large amount of delegates), but the facts are clear - this will all come down to the super delegates to put one over the edge for the nomination! The goal is to beat a very vulnerable - and increasingly scary - McCain, and not suffer the fate of Kerry, and Gore before him. Obama stands a far greater chance in attaining this goal, and the supers know it in looking at all indications in the polls. Clinton, ultimately and in my view, will concede by the conclusion of the Pennsylvania primary results, and then we can all then get on to the campaign for the Presidency! :music:

Good Luck to all of us, humbly.

Clinton used fear mongering and borderline bigotry to win here, and my fellow Ohioans fell for it. Pathetic.

I'm with you, Jeff and Seanboy... but, sadly, I don't think Obama can carry the big states against McBush... I could live with Billary in the White House at least. McCain is a whole other story. Let's hope that never happens! We could do worse than have Obama living in the White House.

Of course, I was for Ron Paul.. but I can't see him as being viable even in 2012. I think that's what Huckabee has in mind tho, is another run.

She will take Pennsylvania, That is her turf, She could possibly win in double digits, like she did in Ohio.

Obama has not won any of the big states, put that plus his credentials, him not having done any thing, That is were he will lose with the super delegates.

I could have told you, He wasn't going to win Texas, Living in Texas, I knew we would have none of that Obama.

I believe McCain or Clinton either one, Can run our country very well, right now, I don't care which one wins, As long as Obama doesn't win.

We can get through four years of either one.

I don't agree with McCain's views on Iraq, Nor Iran, So come election day, This will be the most interesting vote i will have ever made, Will i cross my Republican line, And vote Clinton?

My preference would be Obama as President, Hillary as V.P. ... and McCain playing bingo and shuffleboard somewhere in a nice, cozy retirement home in Tucson, IMHO. :music: :imho:

I couldn't see Obama bringing Clinton in as V.P.

I do see a possibility of McCain trying to get Condo Rice though, As V.P.

Enough to state her case with super delegates, and that is all that is going to matter, Imo

Then it will be, who has the credentials and experience, That puts her solidly in as the Demo candidate, Imo

She won there in double digits, That is not just falling for a line of speech, She took Ohio "Big Time"

I hate to say I told you so, but the Obama armor chink has been found, finally. I really thought he'd propel himself into the main election before it'd be exposed, but people are finally picking up on it and there is still a chance for him to lose. Obama has run off of change, everytime you see him its the same look and the same guy behind the podium that says "CHANGE" on it. So far, so good until last night. I think when people got behind the curtain, they voted for experience over the new guy. I think the commercial made the difference. IMHO, I don't see it as fear mongering...I see it as people wanting the most capable person in office when that phone does ring and the answer is not change. Clinton wins that battle hands down. As much as I dislike her, Clinton has leadership ability to a reasonable degree. Obama can speak pretty, but he hasn't been a part of anything to say "Hey I'm a leader, not just a good speaker!"

The fact of the matter is Obama is farther left than the American people realized initially and I think this is starting to catch up with him as well. No one too far left or right is gonna win right now. There's a very clear split in the Democratic Party just as there was in the Republican camp. I'm not very happy with McCain, but I'm more concerned about an Obama. I hate voting the lesser of two evils, but here we are again. However, it all goes back to the rift that has developed. You have the more moderate middle people voting for Hillary just as you had the moderates in the Republican party voting McCain. The blue collars are particularly strong for Hillary whereas Obama has flown so far on the minority vote. That's not to say either has carried other population segments, but these have been the ones that have had the most influence. The left has picked up on Obama and they've been behind their candidate far longer than the right when they finally got behind Romney.

I agree with much of what you say, Crazy ... but Obama has proven that he can win the white vote, as well as the independents (and even independent-minded Republicans), IMHO. I don't believe it's just the minority (non Hispanic; who are all Hillary's) vote that has gotten him to where he is now ... although, obviously, he has done well in the South which is predominantly African-American. Take Wisconsin, for example ... that was the perfect base of support for Hillary (and Obama beat her there). There are other examples ... Hillary is polarizing, and her campaign dropped the ball after her surprise win here in New Hampshire. NOW she is showing some humility, some empathy (as she did in Portsmouth, NH on that fateful day for brunch), some genuine good-hearted personality and sense of humor! Will it be too little too late ... or does she have what she'll need to secure the nomination? I thought she was done, IMHO. I was surprised by Texas, not Ohio. I'm hopeful the party can unite sooner rather than later ... but there is no doubt in my mind, and things could change my opinion in the ensuing weeks, at this point in time it is Obama that can beat McCain based on my comments in the first part of this post, humbly -and- the fact that McCain is in my estimation, still severely vulnerable with most conservative wing of his party and is showing more than tad of dimentia with the repetitious "my friends, my friends!" :imho:
Very intersting weeks ahead, indeed.

Thanks.

If the Dems don't stop the fighting (and hopefully one of them concede), I think McCain might just clinch the election.

Obama all the way!

Clinton has to win 60% of all votes in order to win the nomination?

Also, Obama won Texas. Although Clinton won the primary, Obama will be walking away with more delegates from Texas from the caucuses.
