hello,
good day guys....i bought a domain last night on dynadot , i saw my receipt, i even received a confirmation email, my account was debited , but there was a problem, i couldn't see my just purchased domain in my portfolio .....i now had to mail dynadot, in which they replied , only for them to tell me that my order had Ben canceled, and that my money has been paid into the prepaid account....my question is , how is it possible that a domain that i purchased, and even got my receipt for plus my account debited for was canceled ,if not that it had been taken by dynadot since its a really valuable domain ,it would be shameful on the part of dynadot if this is from them

Sometimes domains show as available on one registrar but they really are not (wrong availability result) or maybe at the time you did the registration seconds earlier someone else bought it on another registrar.

In short, it happens. You should really try to avoid such thread titles if you are not 100% sure.

I'll take this even further

I, and a number of members on namepros bought single word .ca's and we got letters from the registrar plus CIRA, the entity that controls .ca that our registrations were successful. Weeks later we had them taken out of our accounts because the domains were reserved by CIRA. (Canadian Internet Registration Authority)

So stuff like this always happens and the only way it would be dishonest is if Dynadot did not refund your money or if Dynadot was now somehow the owner of the domain.

Registrars are just like a middleman. If the database says the domain is available they register it to you. After that it is out of their hands, if the domain is recalled or not available for some reason then the registrar refunds your money.

No dishonesty, no games, just facts.

They did the same to me today twice. First on an auction then on a dot come received confirmation saw the purchase the purchase say successful then only to have it relisted for a much greater amount. Twice in one day. You cant tell me that's not suspect. Almost everyone of these domain companies are committing fraud and nothing is being done about it. I'm about fed up with it. The FBI needs to investigate and hold these companies accountable for their actions
