Hello NP,

Are there any compliant/ethical workarounds for registering the ccTLDs with residency restrictions short of actually moving to said country? For example .ca requires Candian residency or business.

TYIA.

Some registrars, including Godaddy, offer Trustee services for some countrycode extensions. Really you need to research the extension and check the implications for future transfer of ownership.

Since you mentioned .ca. Trustee services are not allowed as per the Registrant Agreement so be careful.

They actively enforce this policy unlike some other ccTLDs.

Thanks @NameDeck will have to research these ccTLDs then. Is there a handy list of who accepts and who doesn't that you know of?

Not that I know of. But it might be out there somewhere. Best would be to check the registrant agreement for TLDs you're interested in.
