Hey,

I have just recently regged a domain, with a special ending...

lets say blabla . XY

A country, you almost have never heard of.

So, I thought this is a good idea, because the name sounded well.

Then I get the mail from the registrat, stating, that I have to proof to him residency of that particular country OR that I have a company there.

Of course I do not have any of those.

What can I do now?

Will I get my money back, when he cannot reg. it for me?

Another question:
How do others do that?

For ex. if you want to reg. a .SO domain; are there any ways to reg. it without meeting the requirements?

Thanks

Some services like Gandi.net I believe will act as some sort've proof of residency in some cases such as these.

Eg

Failing that you need to be a resident.

As for a refund, you'd have to ask whoever you sent the money to to see if they're forgiving of such a mistake.

Damn,

Its a certified registrar, who does not offer such a remarkable service.
