This logo uses a West African symbol meaning "Support".

Very nice submissions everyone. I have forwarded these to organizational leadership for feedback. I promise to get input for all of you.
TotalWebsites: What West African country does that symbol come from?
Eric Lyon: How would that look with an image of human mother and child, rather than elephant?

Again, they are all great. Please keep them coming!

Greetings contestants. First I would like to say thank everyone that took the time and effort to participate in this contest. Each and every entry had support from members of the organization. And since it is an organization with many leaders, it was a long decision process. But all of the entries were fantastic.

The Winner: The design that garnered the most overall support and will be the logo we go with, with some modification, will be the entry by Sobi. It was a very clean logo, and one that had a symbol or image that could stand alone, with or without the accompanying letters. So congrats to Sobi for the win!

Overall Feedback: One of the problems we found was that the "West African" region graphic is rather problematic. It looks a bit like Australia or even the US, and is not something that is generally recognizable to non-experts. So that made it tough for logos that made that the centerpiece. We should have recognized that earlier in the process.

TotalWebsites: Great logo. Liked the clean and simple layout, with symbol that could stand alone. Unfortunately the symbol was somewhat specific to one country or language (kind of like having a French Canadian symbol represent North America... never going get the US or Mexico contingent on board). But the tone and meaning were good. Nice effort.

Lulian: Very clean and corporate logo. Many people liked it. I think that many thought it missed a bit on capturing the mission/purpose of the organization. But great lines on it.

Eric: People really liked the mission feel of the logo, especially after the edit. I think the only problem was that it was a little heavy overall and there wasn't really a way to break out a symbol or image from it. But you definitely had the right feel.

LD: You were the victim of the map problem I mentioned above. The concepts were great, especially the first one, which had a lot of support. Great creativity in all of them.

So thank you all again for you efforts. There were as many lessons learned on this side as anything. Sobi, again, congratulations, I will be following up with you shortly.

And thanks to NamePros for providing such a great service.

Cheers,
