GoDaddyGoDaddy
Sold last Monday and completed today:

DogeCoin.cc

Sale Price: $3300
Purchase Price: ~$6
Hold Time: ~ 4 months
Venue: Afternic

I received a price inquiry through my ns3/4 lander sometime around late December. I quoted $1799 and didn't hear anything back. A couple of months later or so felt I could get more out of the domain and changed the price to $3300. This sale I will report.

Hmm, I think I'll start to use the "Dislike" button more often here.

Just kidding guys, congrats on your sales, and a BIG thank you for sharing them here!

16 letters domain wow. What was motivation for purchasing it for 800?

It was a trending phrase when I decided to buy it. It was a little gamble but I was confident I could make a good profit on the domain.

Do you sell these many names regularly on you are suddenly having a streak.. How big is your portfolio?

Well I have started this year with a new strategy.

I started experimenting with outbounds last year after advice off of another domainer and I have started this year pretty confident in that strategy.

The downside to outbounding is that you may potentially be letting some names go for less than if you waited on an inbound offer.

But my mindset is switched to having certain names that I want to old long term and other names that I'm willing to accept a reasonably quick flip for.

Having a slow March so far, and been wondering.

Seems sales reporting is also quite slow here, on anything under $3k at least. Do you agree?

Congratulations! Did you have BIN price on Afternic, Sedo and Dan?

Yes, $38K. In my case/s this doesn't matter cos I find the opportunity to use marketplaces for some other purpose. My team tested ; SH BB BP AN DAN Sedo etc (excl. NP) and we figured out - there's a big % of price /data sniffing bots going on vs buyers.

Good Luck
Regards

This was inbound offer received at dan lander.

I made a mistake with regards to the amount, it wasn't $12 it was about $8 reg fee.

This was a domain that I caught on the drop for reg fee on the day of expiry.

Sales reporting is voluntary and many donโ€™t report or only report above certain amounts. From things I have heard here and there sales are up right now not down.

we go by what we see posted here. not by what we hear. former is fact. latter is guessing.

it goes without saying posting is voluntary.. not sure why u even mention that. however again we or u have no clue how many aren't posting sales whereas we have an exact number (fact) of how many are posting.

therefore it is pure fiction and speculation to say sales are not down based on how many may not be posting.

Trust me, a lot of people donโ€™t report sales here. I know this for a fact because I know other domainers who make sales and donโ€™t report them.

some others only report sales above a certain amount.

that's not at all my point.

I know some dont report. this is why I'm comparing relative numbers of posts here b4 and now. which already excludes all those who didnt post b4...or now.

cheers

I think more people would post if follow up comments and remarks are not allowed strictly. I have also been been guilty of commenting but some snarky remarks and repeated n00b questions might have put off a lot of people...

I know 5-6 people are used to report here and are still making sales but stopped reporting.

I sold Xillion/./co yesterday for 200 bucks on Epik marketplace BIN..

And Damnnnn... . I just saw It was a Pending sale on afternic for 1888.. Guy searched on Epik and found himself a deal...... It was bought on Epik promo and I might have set all the promo names with 200 on epik marketplace.. Since I don't use epik lander, I never checked... and yesterday I saw all my epik names listed for 200.. Funny I already sold 2 more for 499 each on afternic and they were available for 200 all the while in Epik.. It Hurts hahaha.. I had listed for 200 because during the Epik promo I couldn't get a Big lists as I was late and I had to relax my selection criteria, and at that point I felt I could list everything for 200.. Later on Afernic etc, I updated prices of some better sounding names.. This is a Story I won't forget lol.
