Of course, AI is also used nefariously and weaponized. The super-power states understand this, and AI will likely come to bear in the case of Taiwan. The Ukraine/Russia conflict is at the centre of its deployment atm, as with US/Israel/Iran war. It is learning quickly. Used together with swarms of autonomous drones to roam the skies and seas is becoming a dire reality. Unless International agreements are established and time-honoured, we will soon approach an Oppenheimer moment, one where we cross a line never crossed before, granting machines the power to decide who lives and who dies. Once we get there, there is no going back.
