A Trip to Unknown Waters

Last month I joined NamePros without really knowing what to expect.

But I got onboard NamePros. Starting a trip to unknown waters.

Since then I have enjoyed many interesting discussions, learned a lot, discovered new ideas, and met people with very different ways of looking at domains, branding, business, and the future.

Some people see domains mainly as numbers, value, and statistics.
Others see stories, projects, identities, and possibilities waiting somewhere beyond the horizon.

Personally, I think I belong a little more to the second group.

So this small boat is perhaps a symbol of the next stage of the journey.

The water looks friendly.
The boat is ready.
The other shore is visible — but still unknown.

And anyone who enjoys the journey is welcome onboard.

You will be on that boat a very long time. I hope you don't get seasick (discouraged) or get eaten by a gator ( lose all you money). Take high end fishing equipment. Buy good bait (domains) to catch big fish (End Users). The other side is reached when you die and all your left over bait (domains) are unloaded from the boat and sold by your registrar.

Sailing on a Long Trip
Above korganian wrote that I would be on “that boat a very long time”.
Well, it is correct that I am planning to sail for a very long time!
But should I make the long trip in my motorboat?
Or should I make my long trip in a sailboat?

I do not know yet.
I would love it if some of you give me some advice and tips about my “Sailing Plans”.
