@AISO1
Just trying to understand the thinking behind it. What does it matter where the name was bought. In what way would it improve your domaining skills? $40 for that name was a fair price to pay.. it's not like it was bought for $2.

well.. thats still within realm of possible I guess

but I read somewhere that all the bad brokers went to work for uniregistry, so I am not particualrly worried.

I guess after fees. I don't think brokers go down your floor price.

just to clarify for those who did not know:

the floor and bins you give to broker on afternic is all before their fees. (20%)
if he cannot reach yoru floor, he *cannot* sell without asking you first.

not sure if they have obligation to let you know buyers highest offer, if it falls below floor.. but I always make sure to tell them they do.

all in all, a 2017reg for a product-ish .org for $600 net is a no brainer to me.. I did a quick scan of namebio and only saw one in last month.. which could fit the pattern: ribs....org
for like 350$

happy new year and good sales in 2018 to all!

I think you're way too lucky with your sales. I've been keeping an eye on this thread and some of your sales have been the most surprising ones.

That or I'm still too much of a newbie to understand the "value" they hold.

I think that like anything in life, if you spend enough time learning about something.. making mistakes.. falling.. getting up... and not giving up... eventually, you start to get some results out of it.. I mean do you know anybody on this planet who in time and through learning more about something, became worse instead of better at it? no of course not. it does not work that way :)

in the end, and putting aside the so called liquid domains for a moment, all sales here (and sellers) are in same boat, cause no one here knows in advance when his domain will sell.. where.. and for how much... or if it all.

jmo
cheers
