Not sure about the future of this business now, however in the meantime there is still time for some fun with these smaller sales, I may have posted some of these before, apologies for that.

Was debating whether to report this as I mostly prefer to keep my sales quiet but it's going to be reported by Uniregistry anyway in due course:

Forexrobot com - $50,000
Purchase price - mid 4 figures
Broker commission - $10k. Partner payment - undisclosed.

Long story but this lead came from domaintools and looked for a long time like it wasn't going to get anywhere near our expectations. This was not just a domain (which I acquired a year or so ago for mid 4 figures) but I also partnered with someone in this niche and we built it out to a big site with lots of content, charts etc. and it was ranking well for some big keywords and was making money. There's no way of knowing how much of a factor the site had in this sale but we had no interest in selling unless it was close to our expectations (also had to factor in my partners % in any agreed sale).

In the end the buyer suddenly became very motivated to buy and this was a level we felt was reasonable to all parties. If you are able to build out your quality domains into sites earning money you have a higher chance of selling either the domain and/or the content for more than just a plain domain. In the end this was purely a domain sale without content.

N.B. I'm not a domainer by trade, we often build our domains out into sites just to be transparent on that.

Thrilled with the sale!

Moneyman dot co .... $1600

Sold via Afternic BIN ($1280 net after fees)
Purchased in July 2017 for $1.50

I hand-registered a few hundred .COs during the promotion in July. This is my first sale from that particular batch. It covers all initial costs and allows enough breathing space to extend registration on 50 of them when renewals come up in 2018.

It's also my first sale on Afternic. I listed about 700 domains on there a month ago for the first time.
Although the fees are heavy, I can see value in getting visibility during the registration path.
Most of them are priced between $1500 and $3000, so that they'll fit onto credit cards.

Congrats! you got some impressive xyz sales lately ! any tips or tricks for selling xyz domains ?
When you say "Seller: Me" does that mean you do any additional work other than listing on Afternic and waiting for offers?!

no hidden tricks or additional work to sell my names. I own 3500+ .xyz names. I changed dns of the names to undeveloped.com, also listed the names to afternic. Nowadays, most sales are from Afternic BIN.
