After regularly flipping domains for between $20-$100 (mostly to fellow domainers) for the last four months, I decided its time to take it to the next level and reach the end user and I am happy to report the following sales:

S/N/I/F/F/E/D dot com - $2000 (Paid $420 a month ago in auction)
B/T/M/G/L/O/B/A/L dot com - $2100 (Hand Reg for 8.67, bought 5 days ago)

Did I leave money on the table? Possibly, but I was just excited to graduate to a new level from where I was stuck.:)

wow. congrat claypere, kindly share how you sold the 1st domain, how long? i love to hear stories on sales

Countered on a $2000 offer for SafeVapor and a $1000 offer for NextGenClub. Both in .com

I know the people wanting NextGenClub can offer more, but they went dark... I probably should have accepted the SafeVapor offer, but it's so hard to know.

Those are both reasonable offers, in my opinion. You can hold out but there is a risk you could wait years and never get another offer. Domaining is very speculative. The art of negotiation is getting the most a buyer is willing to pay without getting greedy. Both parties should feel good. Go with your gut. It sounds to me like you would be happy with $3k to $4k in your pocket and a 10X profit on both domains. One of the biggest mistakes we domainers make is turning down decent offers. I say sell them and then buy better ones. That's the way to make money and gain experience. The only exception is if you have a domain that is trending and is sure to be worth much more in a few years. Those are buy, hold and wait domains. But brandable offers don't come around that often. If you get a live one you should close a deal one way or another. So.... my humble advice is to wait a week or two and if they don't come back then say you've reconsidered and you'll accept their offer. Again, just my two cents....... good luck!

Small sale: Brokers*F*x* .com $275 gross / $222 Net (Flippa after auction offer). Invested around $30, waited one year. Better than nothing

10X is a good profit. Now go and buy something better and turn it. You did good.

It took me a month, I saw that the user had similar variations of the domain I owned, hence I contacted him.

No, as soon as I sent the email out, he contacted me within a few hours. We started escrow two days later. The whole process from the time I contacted him to closing of the escrow took a week.
