:) I am just wondering how it was found on afternic considering the fact that the nameservers didnt had Afternic and I suppose that the buyer may have searched for it on afternic, using the search functions at afternic.

So is it really possible to park at A and get found at B?

Of course... this is the internet :)

Afternic listings are also listed on GoDaddy (owner of Afternic) and with a myriad of their partners' marketplaces. Domains get some exposure at listing time with Afternic, as the 'New Listings' feed on their homepage shows recently added domains.

I just noticed that the "For Sale" link on the parking page takes you to afternic.

Correct. I had the option to add a link to the sales page. I guess this was the short answer to jideofor's first question that I didn't think of until you mentioned it :)

Do you usually include price in your first emails?

It depends on the domain name. If it's brandable then no, those are only worth what they're willing to pay. If it is Premium and has obvious value (generic keywords, they own the hyphenated version, etc) then I'll quote a price.

tradeinformatics(.)com sold at Afternic for $1,400... reg'd 7/7, sold 7/18!

I believed that it was impossible to push a domain before waiting 60 days after registered it ?!

I dont think that would be a problem because when it's purchase through marketplaces like sedo or afternic, they handle that and tell buyer to create a free account at required registrars to get the domain over to them. They also highlight the fact that it's FREE... we all love FREE things, you know? :)

It was a standard network listing. I registered, parked with Voodoo (woo!), then listed it under Computers > Technology with no description. Probably a matter of good luck in this case.

A lot of keyword, the best ones, are gone in this vertical... I was able to pick Super Informatics :) this is nothing but LUCK!

Thanks mate.

Just sold w3/tc/.com for $550. ;)

Hand Registered 3 months back, for a couple of dollars.
The buyer had agreed for $750, but was requesting for some time. And as i needed liquidity, i gave him a further discount for a swift transaction.

Was Auctioning the same name on NP, 2 months back, but luckily never got any bids.

This is what i was told, when i had registered it:-

If you have a reason to register a domain, you should always go ahead and do it and never ask for anyone else's opinion.

Look at domains the way you look at girls - a girl may appear ugly to me and you, but there's always someone out there who would think that girl is beautiful........

I can not disclose any price as the company is trying to raise funds and in this type of situation I feel its very unprofessional to be shouting out what I made on it.

I thought I would let you guys know that I sold it though :)

Cheers guys!
