Remembering Dot Mobi is only 8 months old..

Do you see the world as glass half empty or half full?

Look at the larger picture, is there any selling TLD in history or newly discovered commodity even, that has had such high proportional RegFee/sales logs in an 8 month span baby history? (And if you haven't sold it, you still have it!)

The fastest ever?

Let's not all look like we're looking at the fish in the fishtank, but that maybe someone is looking at us like we're the fish in the fishtank mentality - think greater and greater perspectives!

*Reeses pieces* :alien: :'(

Remembering Dot Mobi is only 8 months old..

What does this mean to you?

What is the adjustment to our thinking that needs to be made about Dot Mobi to sync into reality synergy?

Hopes, but no expectations, that everything is a bonus (in life).. can make us think clearer..

Remembering Dot Mobi is only 8 months old..

What comes to your mind?

From the dream world easing to the awakening reality world - Dot Mobi?

..loving the Present, friends

Thanks for your correspondance, here.

Kind Regards,

:hi:

We need to look forward, as well ... and, as I've stated, there seems to be no clear answers to the multitude of questions and concerns brought up here by the membership of the .MOBI Forum™, IMHO. :guilty:

There should be no reluctance to address these matters, in my view. What is mTLD's assessment of the first eight months? What is the status of the RFP's? How many RFP's will be released and fully developed and functional in the next eight months? When in 2007 does the highly anticipated Public Awareness Campaign begin? Will there be a .MOBI default? How much money did the "backers" give to .MOBI ... and how much of it was spent in the first eight months ... and how much is forthcoming from them in the next 8? What is the nature and total amount of the respective "strategic investments"? Where in the world are the first four INITIAL RFP's?!? :yell:

At 18 months, absent any advances and answers / insight here in the .MOBI Forum™ ... will it still be alright to "remember that Dot Mobi is only 18 months old!" :?:

IYHO's, in 8 months time (and looking forward) ... have the promises made by mTLD been met? :|
Thanks.

What a Big Baby!

Because I think RFP names have mostly yet to be given out to businesses hoping to use them.. is why I think our Dot Mobi names are so hot!

Aftermarket is a steal!

All this without the RFP yet!

Aftermarket is a steal!

They already tested the market, and pizza.mobi goes for $21,000!?

Holding their cards, I think this was a sign.. for the DotMobi business consortium gang.. to plan better to dominate anti anti trust.. (m.google.com? and a backer?!)

On not posting here, their silence, do you think they would rather have domainers/parkers/resellers buy all the aftermarket names (new regz generics have already reached MTLD's "spreading out" hopes silence milestone tipping point) or rather wait for corporate, end-user, awareness to ascend substantially?

Now with that said, will the Dot Mobi gang create such a craze when those reserved premium names come out? Manifest Destiny? New World?

If those names did come out.. then the prices for someone who didn't grab alot of Dot Mobi names but is part of our movement in heart would be off the roof!

With that said, I agree with you.. When does the parabula graph rise with a guerilla marketing slope explosion; for the Dot Mobi Gang, is it better to be a little early to the party then "too late" - same can be said about your aftermarket wallet!

..which is why we have so many "guests" rising here as onlookers..

Kind Regards,

Yelo

Yelo,

I think you are right on with that post. The .mobi "gang" is in control of everything, and right now it appears that they are holding their cards.

The upside to this is that the aftermarket prices right now are very cheap.

The downside to them holding their cards is that we don't know what exactly is going to happen.

At this point, .mobi is a GAMBLE, but a better gamble than the lottery, the stock market, or the casino IMHO, because the potential payoff could be huge and the odds are not that long.

The "gang" is in control, and unfortunately it is hard to know their true intentions yet.

.mobi is a lotto ticket, but with odds WAY better than 41 million to one!

Yep, that's exactly how I see it :)

Here's an old quote for you:

"Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work." Thomas Edison

I don't know of any lottery, or game of chance where you are in control of your success like you are with domains. Even when you have a bogus name, if you roll up your sleeves and get to work, you can earn a very respectable return on your investment.

The time for easy money has left us, imo. The next easy money comes from development of your names. Turn the .com argument on its head by building a PC version and coding a redirect to it. Remember .mobi is being branded as a mobile site already. That is what people will expect when they visit on their mobile phone. The same is NOT true of .com sites. It will not be an easy task for the dotcomers to convince everyone in existence that .com also means mobile site. I actually think it will be impossible.

Further, make that PC version of your .mobi a full blown site with ways for vendors, advertisers, or users to have the usual level of interaction.

The .mobi name just has to cut the mustard when accessed via mobile phone, not a PC. That is the disconnect here. That is where people are getting all mixed up. Check out lyp.mobi for an example of what I am talking about.

Good luck and for Christ's sake stop feeding the trolls!

Exactly! You have described the best way to actively market mobi to the world. Just go right to the heart of the matter and prepare to directly compete with com for future dominance of the entire internet. I don't see any reason to NOT do it this way and cover ALL internet access bases at the same time. Rep added.
