.tv Relevance of ll.com sales to ll.tv

As most of you would have read, SS.com has just sold for $1.25 million, LI.com and AZ.com also sold for big money in the last 12 months and this got me thinking, just how much relevance do you see these kind of sales having on their .tv counterparts in terms of their value?.
Would you now say that the name SS.tv is worth $xx,xxx or even $xxx, xxx to an end user as a viable alternative to the .com? or do you think that it has no relevance whatsoever on the .tv equivilent?.

Thanks

No relevance whatsoever - just my take.....its a totally different market

Imagine you were comparing commodoties, I would say that .com was gold and .tv was wheat, not even silver.....

that does not mean anything is wrong with wheat, but there is no direct correlation between wheta and gold like there is between gold and silver - ie when gold rises there is usually a corresponding rise in silver

I believe it has no relevance, I still like LL.tv and think the quality $1000 LL.tv are worth having. But no relevance to the .com which is superior and desired. If LL.tv were desired then the 376 remaining would be registered already. Again IMO

The price of SS.com amazed me when I read it in the thread as most LL.com's have been going for low $xxx, xxx.

Anyway, IMO the connect, or relevance, between both is that there are only 676 of them. Also, all LL.com's have been regged forever, yet there are still many LL.tv's that have not been regged.

So, as an example, reading Hull's post where he thinks it would be good to own just one - all he needs to do is pay $1,000 to eNom and he has a LL.tv. It may not be the pick of the crop, but at least he has one.

Bottom line IMO, is that we wont see any overall market price appreciation for LL.tv's untill all are regged. When that occurs, a meaningful price differentiation between a LL.com and a LL.tv can be gauged.

I have been saying that for over a year Heroes agree 100 %

I don't see any relevance whatsoever......unless the buyer of SS.com is looking to acquire SS.tv as well to compliment their portfolio
