Suppose I like some domain name and register it..
..OR register an high PR domain.

Then I found that it was an established site before..

Could it create any problem ? Can the previous owner ask me to get his domain back . Can he sue me ?

Please dont laugh, i am a noob in this field :(

No, he can't sure you (of course if it's not trademarked), but he can pay you to have it back. :)

You'll know for sure when you get a letter from the company lawyer, but you'll have to ask someone with more experience on this topic.

The company usually finds it easier to pay you $200 (instead of lawyer fees) or so for you to give it back.

Here you can check tradermarks but ONLY for USA, if u register something.com and its not a tradermark in USA but in another country i dont know exactly how to proceed

I also want to add a doubt i just had reading this thread.

Why if a domain owner let his trademarked domain expire could sue anybody? it isnt part of his responsabilities to make sure to hold it tight? If they dropped it, then anybody can assume it was released.
