Recent experience with Great Domains

Well, I have acceptance of some domains at GreatDomains.com after not using them for several years. Now I have to decide whether to list them. My question is if anyone has recent experience with them regarding the following.

1. I was thinking they required exclusive listings a couple years ago when they retooled to accept only premium names. However, I don't see that anywhere on their site. their acceptance says they agree to a 6 month listing, but doesn't say anything about exclusive. There is no mention of how to cancel a listing. Has anyone had experience with having a name listed there and selling elsewhere either on own or through sedo/afternic?

2. They recommend an asking price and a reserve price. The TOS says they have the right to sell if the reserve is met. Anyone know how hard they push to get beyond the reserve, if they allow rejecting offers between reserve and asking, and how negotiations are really handled?

3. Has anyone here actually sold a domain there in the last 12 months? If so, domain parked there, or parked elsewhere?

4. Does anyone know if they do any actual active marketing, or just wait for buyers to visit their site?

5. I haven't accepted yet, so they haven't sent me the listing contract to be faxed to them. Anything in it that's not disclosed on their site?

Thanks.

In reply to #4: I have mentioned this before on Namepros. I have had probably over 25 domains listed on www.GreatDomains.com in the past. I currently have a few, but really don't even care. Why? I have never sold a domain with them. I have never received even 1 offer on a domain. You would think that if GreatDomains did do some marketing, I would have at least received an offer, even at the minimum price. So, I believe they don't even try. I think their sales are just from businesses happening to see their website.
I used to get excited about www.GreatDomains.com.Having that first domain accepted is a real rush. I just submitted a .tv, but it's kind of just another thing you can say about your domain, "oh, it was accepted by www.GreatDomains.com ". But, does it add any real value? No. I just sold www.BlogSearchers.com at www.Registerfly.com for 82 cents!! I had it listed on their Marketplace. It is listed on www.GreatDomains.com for $5,000 . Never got any offers, couldn't even sell it on www.NamePros.com for next to nothing. Ha!!! But, what the heck, you have to remember, you only paid the reg fee in the first place!!!

1. No mention of exclusivity.
Term? "This agreement shall have an initial term of six (6) months ... This agreement shall be automatically extended for succesive periods of six (6) month following the Initial Term unless either party notifies the other in writing ... prior to the end of each then-current term."

2. No idea

3. Nope.

4. Would like to know as well.

5. I didn't spot any "gotcha" in the listing contract. Pretty straight forward.

I have never tried to get any listed with them - looking at past sales in http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm they don't seem to get any sales listed very often. It looks like sedo & afternic get the majority (thats if you don't count all the ones from snapnames)

In the beginning, it gives you a "warm, fuzzy" feeling.. but most names just sit there. I had a .us on there but asked them to unlist it recently, because as the .us extension grows, so does the value of that domain.
I didn't want them to just get rid of it for reserve.

They mention nothing about the seller being able to delist the name in the contract period, only themselves. Did they acknowledge delisting the name when you asked? Did they actually take it down when you asked?

Yes.. it's in the contract somewhere. It says that they have the right to delist whenever they want to, and that you do also.. in other words of course.
Here is a copy of the email they sent me after my request to unlist:

Dear SCOTT,

Thank you for contacting Great Domains.

We unlisted your domain per your request. Thank you for your patronage of GreatDomains. We hope to have an opportunity to conduct business again in the very near future.

We hope this information has been helpful. If you have questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us by replying to this email.

Best Regards,

Ladan

They only accept names worth at least $5000 which is very annoying for me.
