How great is GreatDomains.com? They've just accepted one of my names and turned down a whole slew of others. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
They didnt yet accept any of my domains. They pretend to be elite name broker. At least they have only around 16,000 listed.

Great domains is selective and they only have 1688 domains listed

Athough greatdomains.com didn't sell out lot domain names, it still good for free ad about your domain name.

Good Luck!

But they are also slow. It takes many days before they reply to your application

I agree with that! I once submitted one of my domains for listing on GD and they took about a week to reply to my request saying NO! but at least they told me that my domain has potential B-)

They are , to say the least, confusing :!:

I have little faith in their staff's ability to know a good domain from a bad one JMO

I have sold 1 domain so far on great domains I currently have 16 listed with them another 2 awaiting the paperwork to be signed and faxed back to them for listing. Yes they do take there time but the listing is well worth it not only do you receive residual traffic for the domains but you get many offers and they only contact you if your set reserve price has been met. I dont know of any other website that is as selective in the process as greatdomains If you have a great domain they will list it.

Great Domains does sometimes get on the big board at DNJournal.com , and since they are free there really isn't too much of a drawback from using them (Aside from tipping your hat as to the lowest price you'd accept if it is an A+ name).
I have not had a domain name sell from being on GD, but it does add to the marketability of the domain and somewhat moderate increase in traffic.

GreatDomains.com
Not the same style of site as PayPal at all.
GreatDomains is owned by Verisign, and is a marketplace for "premium" domains.
Namepros is Valhalla.

greatdomains only choose domains that have a higer chance of getting sold to be listed in theit directory...think thats they way they market, they would like to make money rather then wasting time updating theose domains that cannot be sold.
