I bought a domain from someone on this board, sent payment, he replied back that the push was completed and so I left positive feedback saying everything went well. A bit later I realized he sent the Godaddy push to my paypal email, not my personal email. He assured me this wasn't a problem, however I never received the push email at all. So I emailed him twice asking him to repush to my personal email. I have not heard back from him. I sent him another email just a moment ago saying I am frustrated as the original push was done around Jan 18th, and I have not heard back from him since.

My question is, is this my fault as a noob for leaving positive feedback too soon? I've checked his profile and the last time he logged in was on Jan 31st, so I know he's been online.

btw, this purchase was for a very minimal amount, iim not saying this is some kind of grand larceny, I just want to know the proper etiquette for resolving these matters.

Thanks.

How did you know the push was sent to your paypal email?

I'm a bit of a noob and didn't know you needed an email to push in godaddy, I had never acquired a GD registered domain before. So I just sent my GD username, so the only email he would have of mine was the paypal email in which I sent him the funds. So it made sense for him to push to my paypal email, however as mentioned I never got the email and now he hasn't responded to my two attempts to contact him since about Jan 18th.

Thanks. Is there a staff member in particular here who handles these matters or just anyone who is a mod would do?

In the forum **right down the bottom of the page** is a link to make a private pm to staff members

Hope you sort it out soon :)

email is enough to push a domain in godaddy, but if no email is provided the paypal email is usually assumed as the godaddy domain owner email.

Right, like I said I agree with the logic on using my paypal email. It makes sense when I provided no other email. The problem is that I never got the email in my paypal email, I emailed him twice now since January 18th and haven't gotten a response.

In the Seller's defense, it's harder for a Seller to defend a chargeback if s/he pushed the domain to a different email other than the Buyer's Paypal email.

As a Buyer, I always include these details in the Paypal payment notes:

- domain/s
- agreed to price
- forum in which agreement was made
- how the agreement was made: URL to sale thread or reference "agreement reached via PM at <forum name>"
- email address to receive push (if needed)
- GD account details (if needed)
- account number/auth code (if needed)

As a Buyer, I leave + feedback only after I have total control of the domain meaning it's in account and I can make DNS changes, WHOIS changes, etc.
