Process for buying expired domains

I have found a domain that is set to expire on March 31st.

What is the process for obtaining a soon to be expired domain?

Is it as easy as backordering it on the registrars or is there another service that I need to use?

try placing a backorder with both of them

there are some differences,check which registrar this domain registered before,such as,if registrar is networksolution,then snapnames is best!
but i use both(snapnames and pool)!
