Does anyone here have advice on how to price a domain at Sedo? I have a few domains there and would like a reasonably quick sale, but I don't want to sell myself out, either. Is it better to allow offers only, list a price and ask for an offer, or post a fixed price early?
According to Sedo, fixed-price names sell three times faster than other domains. But how do you determine a reasonable price?
Hi
if you don't know the value of your domains, then how will you know if you are pricing yourself in or out
regardless to whether you list a price or not, if you ever get an offer, you'll have to either accept, counter or cancel.
again, if you don't know value....how will you know what to do then?
my advice, get some peer appraisals, do research on past sales of similar domains so you get some idea of how to price based on market value, plus your original acquisition cost.
i've sold domains at sedo that had a listed price and domains with no price.
offers will most always come in below the posted price, so you'll have to leave room for negotiations.
but going into Sedo, thinking of getting a quick sale is a fallacy in itself and so is the "3 times faster bs".
unless you've priced a domain that's in demand, way below market values.
imo...
