Premium keyword domains after Google update?

Hi

I just read any article that said premium keyword domain names are no longer as valuable after the Google update a few years ago?

Obviously a lot of expensive exact match keyword premium domains are domains parked without content yet still generate lots of buyers.

I was wondering as lots of keyword domain names today sell for huge amounts so I don't quite get what the article meant about the Google update a few years ago about rankings and keywords when premium domains are mainly domains that contain exact keywords and today get the most offers and sell for the highest price?

A few years ago you could register an exact match keyword domain, publish some very weak content and almost immediately rank at the top for that key phrase. Mini sites were VERY popular.

That quit working.

Now an exact match domain still has value IF it is backed up with a well developed site with lots of good, unique content.
