Let's say there are 2 names. One is a 2-word keyword in its best form, wordword.com. And the other is a 3-word keyword in its best form, wordwordword.com. Both are nouns of niche products, the first is a kind of clothes, the second is a genre of books.

According to google adwords keywords tool, the keywords of wordword.com has the following stats:

word word 27,100 40,500

the keywords of wordwordword.com has the following stats:

word word word 12,100 33,100

How much are them worth? Is the stats provided by google adwords keyword tool enough to appraise a keyword .com domain?

the adword tool is a good tool to see the number of searches being performed, and the tool also gives you an estimated cpc of that "keyword", it's not really any indication on how much the domain could be worth.

To an end user, it might be worth a lot more than others.

Agreed -- totally depends on the domain's underlying genre / industry category.

If the domain is a product/service generic with an average CPC ($1.75) and medium ad competition (5/10), I'd say the amount the "right" enduser would be willing to pay roughly equals the average number of EXACT (not broad) monthly searches for the domain's keywords.

If a domain fitting the above qualifications receives 1500 exact month searches, for example, I'd say that with 75% certainly it will sell in the $500-$2500 range to the "right" enduser.

Thanks Joshua, that's some great insights! Very good illustration of how to appraise a keyword .com.

But a further problem kicks in - how to find end users? Contact them directly via email? Also by selling them to resellers, what's the resale price determined, 1/2 of the end price or 1/3 or 1/4?

Thanks!
