EDIT:
Plesmo is placid and Luc is MIA. I've sent emails, PM's, stickied this thread and nothing. I lay plesmo to rest.... :td:

Since the majority of sales done through plesmo.com are FREE and therefore not recorded on their website, please post your final sales made as a result of PLESMO.

Let's help this fledgling domain name sales site compete with Sedo and Afternic! :):

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

It seems that there don't appear to have been many sales on there. :hehe:

I could make a site like that in a day or so... Maybe KJU.net should be a domain service site lik plesmo :P

I agree. I am pushing the site, though because I'd love competition to both Sedo and Afternic. The more sales sites the merrier!

In another thread about Plesmo.com someone made a great point. Because they hook you up directly with the buyer and you're not forced to use their escrow service, which means that PLESMO IS FREE, it's not easy to track.

That is why I am asking those who have bought or sold something on Plesmo.com to come forward and give some details about it. If, after a month, no one posts then I'll know that Plesmo was just a joke.

It would certainly be funny to see strong competition, but it seems that the current services have total monopoly of the game.

I would like to create a service better than Plesmo because I think that Plesmo is a bit tacky and the name does nothing for their market.

I haven't got any domains with them, neither do I plan to I'm afraid. I don't know the company well enough to put all of my domains with them, and espcecially as I feel that at this moment in time, people don't use Plesmo to search for domains as they are most likely listed on SEDO or Afternic anyway!

Just my honest opinions and comments.

- Luke :)

I appreciate your comments, but plesmo.com was founded by Lezon, Inc., the same company who puts out Domain Research Tool so they have funding outside of domain name sales. I just wish they would STEP UP THEIR MARKETING to make it a trio in domain name sales.

I have 400 names with them. I do not list at Sedo because Sedo == 1and1.com == VOODOO. I will not ever support them again. Afternic is OK, but I'm not crazy about their site. I have a few names with them too, but haven't sold anything.

Anyway, let's end the discussion about how great or not great Plesmo.com is at the moment and wait to see if anyone posts their sales here.

Thanks guys. We had two sales, one in the five figure range and one in four figure range. Unfortunately the buyer requested that the names and prices not be made public due to possible TM issues.

I will be starting a major advertising campaign within the next two weeks.

The home page will also be slightly adjusted to appeal to the buyer, instead of to the seller (which from feedback seems like is the case). The use interface will be adjusted slightly based on user feedback.

There are about 350 active sellers at this time. What we need now is buyers!

I thank you for your great feedback and welcome more.

Keep plesmo bookmarked and I guarantee you'll see great things. Also, I have a new service coming out within the next week that will kick butt. Will update everyone at NamePros first when it's ready.

Thanks again!
Luc Lezon

Great News!

Hey Luc! That is KILLER NEWS! I've been sitting on my 500+ portfolio because I don't support Sedo / 1&1 and Afternic just doesn't get it done. I think with your mostly free service and the slick gui, it would be a good competitor with the big guys. Now you just need to follow through on your promise to promote the hell out of it!

Just signed up, looks very good! Let's try and make this the number one place for domain sales!

The one thing I hate about sites like Sedo, aside from the fact you have to pay a standard sale percentage, is that there is a minimum amount you have to pay after a sale - $50! What if you want to sell a cheap domain? If you sold one for $100 you would have to pay Sedo half, what a joke.

My portfolio (not much there yet but bear with me...) --> http://www.plesmo.com/domain?c=domains&u=Thegingerbreadman

What's the harm in joining now? It's free to join and free to post your domains for sale - get selling!

I think Plesmo has great potential.

What I like about Plesmo is:
Free listing of domains.
6% escrow fees with no minimum commission.
A broker system to get paid for selling other peoples domains.
A reputation system to build up your reputation within the marketplace.
An option to use the marketplace without using the escrow services.
Luc appears to me to be very committed to listening to namepros members and committed to improving the marketplace.

What I don't like about Plesmo is:
When I've pointed people from my site to a page where a domain is for sale, they have to join just to look at the for sale page.
I find the search facility difficult to use and that turns me off looking for names for sale.
I haven't had any success with sales.
I find it hard to find sellers.

Overall, I think that Plesmo has great potential but it may take a while for their to be a regular loyal customer base. At the end of the day, it doesn't cost anything and so there is not a lot to use. Plesmo has only been up for a few months. Don't judge them too early.

My thoughts exactly - Plesmo has massive potential, it just needs domainers to take 2 minutes to sign up and dump some domains on there. In time, it will come down to Plesmo's marketing techniques - as long as they get enough buyers visiting the site, the sales will follow and Plesmo should take off!

Let's keep on topic

Sorry, folks but I want to keep this thread strictly about Plesmo.com. If it withers and dies because no one sells a name there or if Luc doesn't follow up with news about all the promised marketing and new features, then so be it.

Please start your own threads about Moniker and others. Thank you. :)

Any update on the new service Luc?

Also, I emailed you about not being able to upgrade my listing to premium (credit card script error). Did you ever receive that?

Everyone: Has anyone been able to figure out how to link directly to their Plesmo Portfolio? I see everyone has the same link as I do (the one found in your profile on plesmo) but when you click on these, you have to be a member or sign up to be one, and once you log on, it just takes you to your account page, not the portfolio of the link you clicked.

:] It is nice to know Plesmo is around ^_^. I have never seen them advertised. I signed up! It might be a good place to get some bargains. You guys talk as if you sell alot of domains over at Afernic and Sedo. Let's see... I believe Sedo (who I strongly support) sells about 6 to 8 domains a day and Afernic who has terrible service, and stold a domain name from me that I rightfully won in an auction (whom I would never do business with again) sells less than Sedo and they both have millions of names listed. Selling a domain for what it is worth, is still a little bit harder than winning the lottery. ^_^. It's a buyers market. Plesmo has my vote!

No. I think Plesmo might be a dead idea. :( sad panda...

--> Results 1 - 10 of about 537 for plesmo
--> Results 1 - 10 of about 994,000 for afternic
--> cannot do the same for SEDO since there are other sites called sedo...
