Hmmm, only a subset of my names were listed on their marketplace - unless their is a corresponding download all Marketplace Domains option - this wouldn't have been easy. I was also told by their CS there was no way to do this (and it wasn't obv to me when searching). But I wish I saw your tip before I went through the trouble of removing all marketplace listings one at a time.
Ah! Good point. I agree, this could definitely be improved by Porkbun. I like Porkbun a lot but there are some bulk activities that are a headache (there's a longstanding bug with bulk management of DNS for external domains which has made my life difficult). Anyway, for anyone else's future reference... a complete strategy for quickly removing marketplace domains:
1. Enable "Load all domains by default." in the domain manager in "domain management settings" at the top of your domain manager
2. Sort your domains by the "Market" column (descending) so that all Marketplace domains are listed at the top
3. Manually check the boxes for each of the Marketplace domains (click... click... click... all the way down the list[1])
2. Select all domains using the checkbox at the top of the domain list
3. Click "Bulk Actions" > "General Bulk Options"
4. Copy all of the domain names from the textarea
5. In your preferred text editor, find and replace all new lines with ",,,,,,yes"[2]
6. Upload the file via "Bulk Options" > "Upload CSV of Marketplace Domains"
Should take less than a minute in total (
most of the time will be taken up by checking the box next to each domain).
edit: you can upload a CSV containing all of your domains, even if they're not in the Marketplace and the system (the bulk email will say "SUCCESS" next to domains that were in the Marketplace and "ERROR" next to each domain not in the Marketplace).
[1] The checkbox checking could be automated with Javascript but I will not provide the script because I do not want to encourage people to run untrusted Javascript in their registrar account. That said, if someone
wants to automate it: each domain row has a `data` attribute `data-marketplace` which is either `-1` (not in the Marketplace) or > 0 (in the Marketplace). The following prompt can be given to ChatGPT to generate a script:
I have an HTML document containing elements that have a `data-marketplace` attribute. The value of `data-marketplace` can either be `-1` or a number greater than `0`. Each element contains a checkbox. I need to iterate through all of these elements and if `data-marketplace` is greater than `0` then set the checkbox to checked using Javascript.
[2] You could alternatively ask ChatGPT to do it for you:
Add `,,,,,,yes` to the end of each line in the following text:
example.com
example.net
example.org
