i bought a domain via auction a bet related domain and need ur advice/ suggestion, for example i bought 360bets.com and i contacted a betting company that owns 360bet.com asking if they are interested to purchase the domain from me, after 2-3 days i got a reply from the manager who i think owns the company, asking 'What is my asking price',
i have done some research on the company i notice they manage abt 3 different betting/poker site.

Now my question is what should i respond, i dnt want to sell cheap but will love to make a huge amount from the domain, but i dnt want to scare away the buyer, though i know they want the name

2nd is trademark issue hope thier is no trade mark issue on singular/plural domains.
Etc.
This is my first time contacting a company for my domain (got a respond).
So i need your advice mates, those who are experience should suggest/ advice.
How do i close this deal happy and fulfilled

Okay just my opinion here...any money that I have when I go to bed at night that I didn't have when I started that day, is a bonus!

Since this is your first potential sale..don't be greedy (stupid). Make a offer that not too high but still you make a profit from!

Good luck

Whoever gives the price first loses the game so my suggestion is that you reply with a "Let me know how much you're willing to pay for it and let's start from there."

You'll never know how much he's willing to pay for your domain if you won't let him price it first.

And to answer your second question, the fact that he didn't reply "I'll sue your *ss for infringing our trademark, you worthless thief!" is an indication that you're safe.

Good luck! ;)

I think it really depends on the name. Actually if it's the domain I think it is you might be lucky to get low xxxx for it

I read and have always been told to let them start the negotiating price?

Be a bit careful. Just because he asked for how much does not = a guaranteed sale. He may already have his top limit in mind and really may just use it as "extra marketing" or safeguarding his brand. Why after 13 years or so has he not tried to get the domain if it never had a site on it? You could say $1000 and go down but then again he could just say, Aww thats ok $50 is my limit. So just be careful and keep us posted

Its also depends on what they are worth...research that and price it accordingly

Big difference between a company that makes $5 million a year and $2 billion a year

okay you got some great advice already, especially the research part!

Now who answered your email, a secretary ( for instance) or the actual owner/webmaster. The secretary might just be doing their job while the owner will be serious.

As for I usually go by my gut instinct but I also have someone more successfull at selling domains to email for advice, kinda of mentor

Or he's waiting for the price to decide if it's cheaper to buy it or if he should print out the email and then sue his ass.
