Pheenix.com Backorder service fishy business

Pheenix.com back order service prolonging the auction while nobody is bidding is doing any actions. I was watching this auction I was in, the clock reset to 5min everytime once it gets to 4min while nobody was bidding. my understanding is that the clock reset itself once someone places a bid or sth, not prolonging the auction just because, this is very fishy to me. did anybody have a similar experience??

when they where new it was a bug in the system, they fixed it a while ago
