Pending Delete names?

I've been out of the domain game for a few years now and I'm wondering with all (or most) the names now going straight to the registrars for auctions without even dropping does this mean that the names found in pending delete lists are pretty crap as they likely weren't bid on through the auctions and hence they dropped them!?

There are still some great names to be found in pending delete status. Yes, the short, one word, premium domain names will be hard to come by. But with hundreds of thousands of domains deleting every day there's going to be some that people won't search for ahead of time and backorder... it's just a matter of knowing what to look for.

hahaha - well, there's one domain investor who buys over 1000 dropping names every day. I'm a bit more selective, but I could easily pick out 30 or 40 names any day that I would be happy to own at reg fee prices :D

I've sold plenty of pending delete domains and still continue to on a regular basis. Don't expect to be flipping for 4+ figures but if you're okay with low-mid $XXX sales then there is still plenty of money in pending deletes. Considering that you're paying reg fee for them low-mid $XXX isn't too shabby!

Do you mind if I ask where you find most of your buyers? I assume those sales are to- end-users!?

Yes - pretty much every one goes to end users. The buyers come from the simplest of places, such as Google/Yahoo and those who own the same domain in other extensions. Just scout them out and send them a quick email..If you're looking for more information on that I would suggest looking over this thread:

Hi... *Newbie question*
Please where do you find this pending delete that you register for hand reg fee and by hand reg fee, you mean 10$ huh?

When you hear someone say "reg fee" around the forum then yes, it means you get them for standard registration costs which is usually around $8-$10. To find pending delete domains you can visit ExpiredDomains.net and create a free account. Login and click the Marketplace Domains tab at the top, then click the Pending Delete tab at the top. Keep in mind, these are domains that aren't currently available to register. You have to wait until their Drop Date (End Date in expireddomains.net) has passed so they can become available for new registration. I hope this helps! :)
